    Default 2 new 70s toys!

I couldnt resist when I saw them! One is a marx pinball machine with a VEGAS THEME with the names of long gone casinos! I had to get 2 machines in order to put together one perfect one! Of course the wiring was bad and the scoring motors were shot! The machine is RIVETED together? No screws to access the playfield for repairs and the rivets went into the clear plastic playfield, So as you can imagine it was tedious work taking this thing apart. Now it is like new with everything working as it should! The Head Board features an Arm that moves to keep score and a Light that comes on and a bell that rings as the ball hits the bumpers! The Bumpers are not mechanical they just triger the sounds and lights. The bumpers have springs that help the balls bounce around! The playfield's art is what really makes it, as it has some history to it with pictures of the old casinos. The machine uses one flipper which is in the center of the playfield with the control button on the left of the machine. It is not electrically driven but mechanically! the small paddle wheel to the left of the shooter keeps the balls from comming back to the shooter after they have been played and (Drained). After the last ball is played you push down on the wheel releasing the lock and then you can rotate it allowing the balls to go back to the shooter area. It operates on 4 d batteries but I will install a transformer and maybe some more lights to the scoreboard! It plays really well and the vid is comming!

The next new addition is a Marx Torpedo. A sort of cross of Pinball,Bagatelle and Skeeball! It took awhile but I restored it to like new condition. I just need to make some feet for the side facing opposite the shooter to elevate it a bit (The feet were Missing) Its really cool to watch it work pull back the shooter arm and release. The balls travel around the sprial ramp shoot into the air and land into the cocentric rings. If you pull the shooter all of the way back the balls shoot so fast you can barely see them travel the ramp! Almost impossible. Once again rivets held this one together! Whats with that? Rivets on Plastic Pachinkos and the like of the 70s and Staples on Vintage Pachinkos. Didnt they like screws? probably a child safety mamby pamby thing! Will add this game to the video too. just waiting for the Dingaroo and 2 other Plastic Pachinkos that are in transport to complete the machines for the vid
