Default Finding Speaker Connectors on a Sankyo Lumina Crystal Frame

    Hi,

Even with the in built volume controls the Star Wars Battle of Darth Vader is just too damn loud!

I thought it would be an easy job to install a volume control but I'm struggling to find any information for this frame. Anyone got any hints and tips on where to start?

I've already got an L-Pad control ready to install, I just need to find the right connections on the rear of the machine...

    Cheers

Which frame, Don't you mean the evo frame?

I think its pins 13-16 best is to follow the cables with the power off.

Hmmmm good point, I have no idea what they call the frame to be honest. I was just going off one of the descriptions on the US Importers page. I assumed that was right.

I have attempted to follow the wires, but it appears it would mean stripping down the door and then half of the machine to do so. Seemed a little extreme.

I'll check out the link now.

I have attached a picture of my machine, which frame is that ???

I have found a rotary switch on the back, which has at least allowed me to set the default sound level to the lowest level. I translate it as...

0-5 Variable Volume Control (Sets the Default volume but still allows player to adjust in game via the menu system)
6-B Fixed Volume Control (User has no control over volume levels)
C-F Display Settings (not sure about this one)

So I would assume the sound amp is on that board somewhere ??? So the speakers should be connected back to there somewhere ???

    Cheers

Thanks for a few pointers from Bill at The Plasma Infusion I was able to figure out all 4 wires needed for me to wire in the L-Pad. Thanks Bill, I think if you are after one of these machines in the US it sounds like they are the chaps to go to! Very nice people!

I know this is an old post.
But...Is there any chance that there are photos of this that could be shared by anyone that has done volume work on this machine and what they have found?

I shohld have been more clear. I meant if there were pics of where the speaker wires are located to put in an l pad. My machine is already on "0" and its still pretty loud. If this is how it is i can love with it but if theres a way to get it lower, i'd love to see where those speaker wires are.
