DAIICHI Hi-Deluxe new aquire - HELP Needed

Hello All,

I picked up a machine and it was already taken a part and I am now in the phase of putting it back together. I am posting a pic of the rear of my machine and its current configuration

I am having issues trying to figure out where this rod attached in/under the cover, does anyone have an internal pic or can offer assistance in its other end?

Also any other pics of the circled area may help me, but I think I have a good idea on how it goes. The "Green" machine pics were taken from this site and have been a HUGE help getting my machine to the point shown above, so thank you!!
