I took out the hopper and found a small screw in the hopper. Put it back together and now I have an HA code. Cannot find what this code means??????

Well HJ can mean hopper jam, but you already figured that out..

I can't find what a Takasago HA is either..

The only thing I saw about a 007 with an HA code, the person solved the problem and said
I got it fixed, their was a token stuck in the coin mechanism, I got it running.
Does the machine work at all with the HA error??

Well it does not work with any reset. But it does work if I unplug the hopper. Obviously thisis the problem but not sure I want to tear it apart. Will take out the hopper and see if I can see anything jammed.
Does anybody know if you can spin the hopper with it empty by hand?

You should be able to manipulate the hopper by hand.. its very possible something is stuck underneath it. I had this happen with a Sankyo machine and there were tokens stuck under the hopper itself. Also try cleaning the sensors on the hopper could be related to that. Some hoppers even have a button you can press which will begin ejecting coins from it to test.. if the hopper has anything in it.

No button to press and it has only one plug to the box.

so if its fine with the hopper unplugged, then the the sensor on the hopper is either blocked or faulty.

So that being said, where is the sensor and how do you fix it or can you order one. You are a little over my skill level for this type of machine.

No idea how to answer without any pictures..
Post up some images of the hopper, (above, below, side.. etc) shots so we can see what it looks like. Taking these apart is not Rocket Science by a long shot... usually.. lol

... well worst case scenario you could buy a replacement hopper.

Also take your hopper out and check the little flappy lever that breaks the light beam when a token comes out.

I too have this machine, and it wont payout, always gives me HE hopper error. I have taken the hopper out, emptied it, cleaned the sensor and still get HE error, I am t a loss, any ideas? I get this error regardless if the hopper is connected or not. The machine works fine, the error only occurs when it has to pay out. Its a Takasago ch-650 hopper

Not a clue, Its just a generic item on most hoppers. Its normally on the under side.

But maybe your issue is different.

LT's goes straight to error. You say yours does't payout and goes into error.

So when it goes to pay out, does it spit tokens out first then go into error. Or just go straight to error
If the first, then there is a fault with the sensor that counts the payout.
If the second, the motor isn't turning to pay out. Then try turning the disc in the bottom by hand and see if it spins ok. You can try it with one or two tokens in, but be warned they fly out with some force.
If it turns ok, then try connecting the payout motor to a voltage source (I use a car battery due to the strong current)
If the motor turns ok, then you have a fault with one of the circuit boards.

Yes just goes straight to error. I have turned the disc by has and no problems and it does spit out the tokens when doing so manually. I will try hooking it up to a car battery tomorrow and see if the motor works - will it wok off 12 volts? I hope its not the circuit board.

    Thanks for the advice

    Lets just be 100%

it goes to error when you turn it on, or It goes into error when its time to payout?
