    Default General Play Question

Maybe it's just that I'm still too new to all this, but I do have what seems like a stupid question:

I understand the goal is to reach the big payout "fever" round. To that end, the "go" pocket payouts help you out by cycling into the front ball hopper... but how do you really know how you've done? I've seen pictures of people in pachinko parlors with HUGE buckets of balls next to them. I don't know how they get them to the counter! Are the fever payouts so big that you'll just have to bank them into the lower hopper to keep the main one from overflowing, or is there some subtle strategy to ball management?

As I look back at it, this seems really naive. Thanks for your patience. This looks like a realy friendly group so far, and I look forward to learning a lot here.

    Regards,
    Bob

on alot of machines once you have filled the shooter tray befor it compleatly overflows the machine will automaticaly start filling the bottom hopper where you can happily dump the balls once full to a ball tray and start piling them up

in a parlour you will have "nice"attendents at hand to take your balls to the counter for counting by machine for you
My rice krispies told me to do it

When you get a fever, the battle counters on the whole row light up, plus an end aisle light flashes, signaling an attendant (there is also a 'call' button on the battle counters). The attendants handle the trays, giving you empty ones and taking the full ones, putting them on the floor behind you to encourage others. When your done, press the call button. An attendant comes with a cart to take your winnings to the ball/medal counter. The have special lifts that lift the whole thing high enough to be dumped in the counter. You then get a receipt that you take to the premium counter for your 'prizes'

Thanks drcrippen and compirate! Hopefully it won't be much longer before I get to that point. I've been playing this thing for weeks! (Not continuously, but close.)

Now would that be a day or two to play for the Fever?

Or a day or two to recover from the Fever?

most pachinkos have a challenge round after your 15 round fever, usually it last till 100 balls have entered the center pocket or is timed.

thats when the flippers really come into play, they open more and stay open longer, the reels spin a lot faster, thats when you have your best chance to hit another fever

I've hit 5 or 6 in a row on some machines!!!!

Not a dumb question at all, I've often wondered about the logistics of how players handle a fever round in the "real world". Thanks for that description, compirate.

Well, I made it! I decided I was just going to keep playing until it happened, so I racked up a line of cold ones and set out to get the fever or die trying. I thought I had hit it before during a good spell, but soon found out that wasn't the case.

It took some time. I think I had cycled about 1000 balls when things started happening and my beautiful guide apeared to help me over. Things sped up and it became a fumbling mess, really, as I attempted to keep balls in play, empty the overflow and dump the second tray into the hopper. It ended with an unsuccessful challenge round and pachinko balls all over the floor, but I do feel as though I've completed a "rite of passage" and can say that I "get it" now.

Thanks to all for your help and support!!!

We have been pumping thousands of balls through our pachinko, and no fever yet. Not one. It is fun but no fever.
I even put a 'demo' button on the side to simulate a ball going n the center pocket, I have been in almost continious spin mode and still nothing.

    Blimey Mike!

Have you been talking Sweetly to it too?

The only one of mine that took forever to Fever was Garfield!

It just teased and teased and teased and teased till I got the Fever when I least expected it!

Are you sure your Wife didn't sneakily get a Fever when you were out or something?
