Angel Beats
After some playtime with my latest Pachi, I figured I would pop in and talk about it.
Angel Beats! by Sammy, this machine is based off https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Beats!
It has several items worth noting, the biggest being the main screen up top. There is no LCD screen on the top, what is housed here is a projector and a for lack of better term 2 planes of reflective surface. 1 is a screen that retracts up and out of the way for certain events, and 2 is a 3D stage shaped area. Normal game play is with the screen down as seen in the 2nd picture.
The smaller LCD screen to the left of the reels is touch screen, from here you have the option at certain times change settings/songs and apparently answer Angel Beats trivia.
The reels are on the smaller side, really noticeable when placed near other machines, the smaller size icons make any "eye shooting" even more difficult.
This machine also supports the recent Multilingual option, where you can set the machine to Japanese, Chinese, English, or Korean. At this point its more of a gimmick as setting the machine to english only subtitles the videos at certain points. Everything else is still in Japanese and no text is converted to english. 3 main game modes..
regular play.. which counts down to an operation, Endless Beats which is basically a long running battle against "shadows" where you try and build up for a bonus. And Girlsdemo Dream Match Live, where the stage comes into use and a concert with very good 3D effects starts up.
There is an AP that you can download on your Android device, but I have not yet tried to do it, I assume it will allow you to unlock other features or save your progress. I'd love to get some codes to try on unlocking other songs.
