    Default Ultraman question

Hey yall i'm new and I have a question. I have had my Ultraman pachinko for a few months now and love it. A friend of mine from Japan brought back a battle counter that he said was given to him.

    This is the one:

    TRICK2 ƒpƒ`ƒ“ƒR m¤•iЉînUEFŽY‹ÆŠ”Ž®‰ïŽÐ

I have no idea where the counter is supposed to hook into the machine. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you

If it's the recent Ultraman in the Kyoraku 'Big Bang' frame, then arby posted the pinout of the battle counter connection cable in this thread (last post). Even though this description is for the Asahi Miina 21e battle counter it should be the same for your U.F 'Trickview' counter.

    Pin 1 (Yellow) - Kakuhen
    Pin 2 (White) - Common
    Pin 3 (Red) - Ooatari 1 (Bonus)
    Pin 4 (White) - Common
    Pin 5 (Red) - Ooatari 2 (Bonus)
    Pin 6 (White) - Common
    Pin 7 (Red) - Ooatari 3 (Bonus)
    Pin 8 (White) - Common
Pin 9 (Green) - not used
    Pin 10 (White) - Common
    Pin 11 (Blue) - Start
    Pin 12 (White) - Common

The connection to the battle counter side will be through the two pin connectors on the interface box. If they still have their connection labels on them, then you are looking for the set of three that are labelled with 'contact input' 接点出力 on the label.

The Japanese label should also identify each input as well (wire colors taken from the data sheet for this counter).

    スタート Start (Yellow-Black wires)
    大当り Ooatari/Bonus (Red-Black wires)
    確変 Kakuhen (Red-White wires)

    Hope this helps...

OK here's what I have. The first and second pics are the only ones with labels on them. The third pic is the type of connector on each of the labeled wires. The fourth pic is everything. Where is it supposed to connect to the machine? I really hope I can get this to work

In the attached pic, the only thing you need to worry about is the far left connector (power - 24VAC) and the square box CA-03 thing.

Is that last pic all the wires and connectors?

The cables in the clear tubes are the interconnects and power. Power should be the heaviest red and yellow wires (don't quote me!). The interconnects are so that all the counters in a row can be connected for power and to make the others light up if someone gets a bonus.

The CA-03 thing allows the counter to be connected to machines that either have contact or voltage pulse output. Of the 6 connectors coming out of it, you will only be using three. It is very important to know which your machine is.

I actually have a power transformer for the counter so thats no problem. It lights up and looks amazing. I've been looking all over YJA for adapters and whatnot but i'm having a hard time finding anything.

If your looking for the actual connector that plugs into the back of the machine, then you might try contacting this seller, or this one (if your fluent in Japanese, otherwise have your friend do it). I think Arbycoffee has some, but they may be spoken for.

Are you sure it's for pachinko and not pachislo? Like I asked before, are those all the connectors in the last pic?

yes those are all the connectors. I'm looking on the back of the machine and it seems like there's only 2 inputs. i'll have to snap a pic of that tomorrow. If I remember they are CN#(forgot which #'s). I think i'll get this to work eventually, just needs some good research. also, im pretty sure its for a pachinko as theres no area on the counter that says BB, theres only RB and AT.

The back of the Big Bang frame uses a long white connector plug, and NOT the little CN# connectors you are used to. You will need to buy an adapter, or wire it yourself.

See the snap I included for you.

Arby (who else) helped me get this one

well, I bought that one anyway. only 500Y so no big loss. I'm getting a whole bunch of stuff shipped over soon too and im sure that wont take up too much weight lol. I guess as long as I make use of that wire diagram on the UFNET site and the guide Arby wrote for the Asahi, I can somehow make it work lol.

Here's a better pic of the wiring, the characters are a little easier to read.

The cable you are ordering is the right one, it's just the wire colors that are different. For these colors the outputs from the frame are as follows.

    Pin 1&2 (Brown) - Kakuhen
    Pin 3&4 (Red) - Ooatari 1 (Bonus)
    Pin 5&6 (Orange) - Ooatari 2 (Bonus)
    Pin 7&8 (Yellow) - Ooatari 3 (Bonus)
Pin 9&10 (Green) - not used
    Pin 11&12 (Blue) - Start

So you'd connect the Blue wires from the connector to the Yellow and Black pair from the interface box on the battle counter. The Red wires to the Red and Black connector, and the Brown wires to the connector with Red and White wires.

I don't see the CA-03 interface box in your pictures, as far as I know you'll need this part or you won't have the correct connections that are needed to connect to a pachinko machine.

Doesn't the CA-03 box just provide either straight thru lines for contact machines or opto-isolators for voltage pulse machine? The 4 pin connector that plugs into the CA-03 would probably be Common, line one, line two, line three.
