    Default Really playing pachinko

I've seen a lot of attempts at play guides, but they always seem to fall short to me. They give tantalizing clues like "watch for reach chances" or "look for an odds change," but never really say how to take advantage of them.

How about a play guide that actually explains just what these are and how to take advantage of them? Use a popular machine (such as Star Wars) and cover an hour's play with videos and/or photos. Explain everything that happens and what it all signifies. I would think a lot of the concepts may carry over to other machines.

For example: "See how the lights around the door just changed to green? That indicates an odds change, meaning for the next 42 spins you have an increased chance of winning a bonus if you get a ball in the pocket." Or whatever.

Does anyone here really know enough about the obscure aspects of gameplay to do this? Arby? Rupan?

    perhaps like religion,
pachinko should maintain some of it's mystery
    to maintain it's magical allure

I see your point, although I think it would be nice to have the option for those who are really curious to have a better idea what's going on.

It just strikes me as odd, how we have such a great group of people here who are so fascinated by these macines, but for most of us it's like we're reverse engineering a UFO. We have a basic idea what's going on, but I think we're missing a HUGE amount of what's really going on behind the scenes.

It could be like a game faq or walkthrough...... only use it if you are really stuck....

In reality with a bit of observation and play time I'd say most things can be worked out......

Your idea is fantastic, I delagate you (noobie) to handle it. That would real make you a master of understanding pachinko.

I just planely don't have the time, I even quite smoking, because I didn't have time to even smoke in the bathroom. (very true)

Isn't it this simple little fact that makes us so enthused by these toys? If it was easy, like a PC game, we'd tire quickly and there would be no website to discuss and learn. So, yes, we're reverse engineering a UFO, but all the more fun for us!
