    Smile My first Palot Impressions

These are some of my first impressions of the Parlot, CRP Kagetsu Densetsu R, or
Flower Moon Legend by Sanyo. (via Arbycoffee)

This game has the same footprint and height as a pachinko, and the reels and 8" lcd screen of a pachislo and in my opinion, the best of both worlds. It takes 15 balls for each spin and you're off to the sights and sounds of the four seasons.

Spring includes pink flowering trees which are followed by a tree edged
waterfall and river for summer. Multicolored leaves cover trees to show you fall
as does snow for the winter time. Any of these scenes could be anywhere in New
England. Each season is accompanied by it's own birds and sounds. While you're
distracted by the beauty on the screen, the reels spin almost silently and
unnoticed below. You are further distracted by a beautiful Japanese girl whose
different colored gowns act as yokoku for the next spin. More yokoku are
different colored fans that fall and occasionally a reflected image in the
shimmering water of a bird bath will give you a preview of the next winning
    spin.

The big bonus pays off with over 2300 balls and includes jac-ins like other
pachislo games. The other reward here is an enticing melody that even without
any translation could only be a love song. This bonus can be followed by a 100
spin change mode during which I assume chances are higher of another bonus.
During chance mode the spinning reels are accompanied by horozontally spinning
reels on the lcd screen and a different melody.

There are many small payoffs but when you put in 15 balls and get back 20 or
35 you aren't going to get rich. These payoffs, though, add to the sounds and
enjoyment of the game and since that's what the game is for I couldn't be
    happier with it.

Even in attract mode she can't be ignored. Although silent, scenes are shown on the screen and lights flash to say "come play with me".

I'm building a table mounted stand with a larger bin for balls. That should
make ball handling easier. There is much more for me to learn about the Flower
Moon Legend and I'm going to enjoy learning it.

A lady as enticing as this one shouldn't go nameless so if anyone has been
able to translate her name maybe from the Sankyo webside I'd appreciate knowing
    it. (phone number is optional)

That is correct. For all intents and purposes, that's called the chance mode and it's a feature that is shared among many modern pachinko machines from '90 - '95 and 2001-present.

Also, I'm not sure if that woman has a name. I'll snoop around a bit but I kind of always remember Sankyo referring to her as just "a woman". They did make her very elegant though, my girlfriend looks like that in kimono.

    Great write-up, fhagar.

My wife would, too. And thanks for finding the name. Somehow it will seem a little different playing and knowing her name.

Oh, she's not, but she would be (more) beautiful in a kimono.
Spent a year in Okinawa (1969) and have never forgotton the grace and elegance of a kimono

What do you think of the 'Lightning' round (lightning storm on video, machine lights flash)?
Watch that in a dark room and it'll give you seisures!!
Otherwise, about the only machine I have been able to succesfully 'eye shoot', at least the first two reels. A very ball intensive machine.

I thought the 7's were fairly easy to eyeshoot but the animal icons were pretty tough.

Yes, the lightning can seem realistic in a dark room. I haven't really tried 'eye shooting' on this yet but I will.
Yes, also on the number of balls required. Feeding more balls into the reward hopper will be easy but refilling the front trays may remain a manual job.

I think that may be why this machine wasn't too popular in Japan. It's sort of a pain to keep loading balls from your winnings, unlike regular pachinko or pachislo too, for that matter. I'm starting to think that machine might be the only palot that will be made.

That would allow this palot to retain a uniqueness it deserves.

You have had this beauty for about 6 months now fhagar. What is your 1/2 year evaluation of it? This machine and the "Star Blazers" machine are must haves for me...........

My Palot is still number 1 in the collection. As with any parlor ready pachinko, ball handling was a problem but I added a bin at the top to store spheres and another at the bottom to collect them. It's always a pleasure to play and continues to surprise me. I'm surprised there aren't more of them around.

Palot can't be converted to anything. Balls it is using now is all. I have sold a few that way.
