    Default Visual Pinball Emulator

I came across this rom for the Visual Pinball emulator which emulates a vintage pachinko machine. Seems to be pretty accurate compared to the others.

Thanks but what's a .vpt file? WINRAR didn't unzip it properly.

I recently picked up a FREE Addams Family Pinball body and have a long term project idea of putting a flat widescreen in there, flipping the video 90 and playing video pin on an actual pinball body. I am sure it will take a while but would be very cool. Mike : )

It has been done already(playing video pinball on a pinball machine body) and is marketed by a firm in Australia. Tho it is primarily for Video Emulations of Pinballs they were looking for a distributor in the US. It has a cashbox with coin mechanism and tilt mech etc! I'll try to locate the info I have stuck away on some cd.

A .vpt file is not a rom. It is a Video Pinball Table and will run using the Video Pinball Emulator. We have discussed this before here...maybe a search here :

Actually I just did that search. I thought this looked familiar!! This was posted by me back in August about the same exact pachinko simulation! Here is the complete thread and all the info you need to know about this pachinko simulation:

personally i'd like a real pinball but. not enough room and not enough Money..

I think i am going to be modding my mame cabinet and add a pinball emulator.. just to keep me busy.. collecting pinball tables and the like..

    Thanks Sid for finding that!

Now that I think about the one I was talking about from Australia : It wasn't one that had a multitude of Video Pinball or Video Pinmame tables. It was actually a standalone machine with a (I think) very large plasma screen on it but it only was a one game video pinball. It might have been discussed here at one time. I have done searchs and can't find it on here but I might be searching wrong.

Visual Pinmame(FREE) recreates the pinballs using the actual roms that you download.

Visual Pinball(FREE) is a separate program that will run simulations that don't require using the origianl rom files.

I believe the thread I listed here in my first response has the urls for those programs and they have been posted elsewhere here also.

Those are the only ones I use to run the Pinball simulations.

There also have been a few standalone simulations released by Microsoft etc that are quite good also but they require something I have a hard time letting go of sometimes : Money !

    ENJOY!

If you have a really fast computer with a really nice graphics card, you might want to check out this 3-D emulator

    http://www.futurepinball.com/forum/index.php

It's new and will be updated at Christmas.

BTW, I recreated that Pachinko in the first post with Visual Pinball and you can check out this forums for just about everything you'll ever need to know about pinball emulation. In the first post it says Rom Link, but it's not a Rom, it's just a .vpt (Visual Pinbal Table) file that needs the Visual Pinball program to run it. Thanks to azlew for explaining it.
