Status on new pachi room addition.

Well with the fall I took some friends have pitched in to help. Some have been helping all along and others would have helped more already but I try not to ware out my welcome and do what I can myself. A friend I grew up with can do roofing and was already coming to put the roof on this weekend. Well he came and with everyones help the roof is on! I gave my friend who came a distance to put the roof on a machine. He did a lot more than he was supposed to do. Helped put some of the sheathing on then started to lay shingle just to get drenched with the rain. Stayed over night and then had to work in gail force winds and cold. But is is done. I gave him the Monkey Magic. He liked playing that one. Now to finish some flashing work and start enclosing the sides.

is the whole room going to be all pachi?

Mostly. The computer will go there also. I keep waking up my son when I go on the board later in evening. Also I will use one corner to lock up some hand and power tools. My son Tyler thinks they are his to use. Hand tools he loses and safer to lock up power tools. My future plans are to get the renters into the new apartment space then take over there part and make it one whole house for us. Then I will have a room all to myself in the house proper. But his may not be for some time. Later the room will become a work and shop room.

Remember you have to keep them separated and the lights on! I am told that helps, but for some reason it doesn't seem to work so well for me.

When my friend Tom that put the roof on seen my pachi's he said Holey Cow! What are you doing starting your own casino? Then he said I must be rich! I told him that some I got at whole sale prices and others like Gakus specials as good as wholesale! I told him this is the only thing I spend money on thats a true hobby. Not paying bills, buying a tool or building materials. Something to have fun with and relax.

i dont have any bills except my internet so i tend to have a lot of money to spend on toys and my pachi's are it. It's also extremely easy to buy machines when milt's place is 10 mins away and i dont have to worry about shipping charges/damage.

Laz, it sounds like your friends are true friends indeed, especially Tom!

It's rough when you are forced to rely on others to do things you want and know how to do but simply can't. But thank God there are a lot of great people out there! Bless them all!!

Well the room is comeing along nicly. I was abel to put the pink foam bord on by myself. It is light. Now I am working on the siding. The 4x8 sheets of cement board are heavy. I am going to try to did up some pics of what it used to look like with the two old structures there. I lost some valuable space but it sure does look a whole lot better now.

It would be 10x20 but the one side is 8feet so the long wall slants a little. Bring the sleeping bags. I'll alway find room for a pachitalk member!
