    Default Pachinko Repair's

how about we get a separate catagory for repair work of pachinko machines!

anyway I just want to make a statement that when it comes to plastics one of the best glues are the "plastic epoxy" 2-part mixes. I have done very major repair on both pachislo and pachinko using this stuff. a few copanies manufactuer the stuff and what is so great about it is that it works on many plastics that other glues fail. I have even molded and fashioned it to replace sections that were totally destroyed of missing.it sets up fast and you can use foil tape to help form the missing sections. it is also easy to tool it with rasor knife and such. saved my but and others many times. as many of you know it is near impossible to get any sort of parts for these machines. well when your back is up against the wall some day give it a try. works on dificult material such as nylon too! well thats it for now. I will pas on tips as I get time. you can get this at aco, target, k-mart....

These epoxies you mention above are truly amazing today. You're right. They can easily fix a machine that looks to be very damaged. Good post! Thanks!

I've used the Plastic Welder now for several years & it's one of my favorite epoxies as it seems to hold where others don't (smells awful, though). I've even used it to epoxy a plastic license plate light/trunk latch hood back on to my old suzuki when the bolts holding it on rusted through. It is good stuff & I'll have to try the white.

    Hi
I'm new to the group and just received a Bungee Jump Pachinko Machine. My friend gave it to me because he had plugged in into a 110v outlet before realizing the transformer was 24v. needless to say the machine doesn't work. Is there any way to find out if something was fried on the PCB boards or can new boards be bought

are you saying your friend pluged the 24 volt side of the trans to 110 volt and that the transformer was installed backwards ?????

most transformers have a built in cut-out or a thermal breaker, may be just the trans died.

In a PM from him, I understood it doesn't have a transformer installed.
He plugged in the cord, I think rande77 means machine power supply not a added on transformer. :questionm :questionm :questionm :questionm

It well could, not knowing how that manfactor handled the fuse set up. If he had access to a transformer with out buying one, would be to hook it up and see what gone.

But I think atleast the power board is gone, now on a new machine, you might want to put some money into fixing it, but that is a 2001 low tec. mechanical. He has no money in it, so why chase good money on a risk ?

I have seen them on Yahoo for under $20 and no bidders.

I just would feel very bad to say spend money and after you get 30 or 40 bucks in it. It still doesn't work.
It is a fun machine, kids like it, but to tell someone to buy parts for it, I can't honestly.

I would rather sell him my Thunder Zone C.U. for $250 and take a loose it, than say throw money at it and see if it works.

We don't even if it ever worked ?

The solution is simple. Since you're on Pachitalk and you're going to get addicted anyway, just buy your second machine right now. When it arrives, temporarily remove the transformer and put it on the blown machine and troubleshoot that. After you find out what needs to be done put the transformer back in your new machine.

Plus, you can tell your wife you saved money by buying the second machine because you didn't have to buy a transformer.
