    Default My 1st Pachinko ?

So, I'm going to buy my very 1st pachinko.

I am debating going for the Godzilla, Aqua 9, or Sea Story.

Can anyone tell me what of those 3 are the best? I would like
Aqua 9 or Sea Story, but I know my little ones would really like me
to get the Godzilla. Is the Godzilla a fun machine? Are these 3 really just
the same with different eye candy to watch on the LCD screens?

I've only played one pachinko and it had a wierd YMCA music type theme.
Even at that my son had a blast with it. So I know we will enjoy pachinko, it is just what model to choose. :-)

    Thanks!

    Charlie

Thanks Arby. There was no video for those 3 but nice links to translated pages.

Looks like I'm thinking about New Sea Story, not Sea Story.

I must admit I can't make up my mind! Aqua 9 and New Sea Story both look great. However, I can't help think Godzilla is bad a$$.

Anyone play these machines have some feedback for me?

New Sea Story is VERY popular in japan. many people play long time and everyday.
i don't know what's so fun about this machine.
some analysis say factor of success is just 'simple'.

Aqua 9 has great graphics. but can't defeat NewSeaStory.

Godzilla has poor graphics (in my point of view.)
most of playing, just a small tank like a pic below is running.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

When you are on Pachitalk go to the top and do a search for what you are looking for and also always check the museum like arby says.

Here is a thread that I posted recently about New Sea Story :

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7158

After watching this guide I personally am not impressed with it. I haven't seen videos of the others in play yet.

If you are considering New Sea Story , I would hold off for a bit as tons of them will probably be floating over here to the US because about 90 percent of the Japanese Parlors have several of these they will be getting rid of soon.

I would recommend Sea Story too; as JapNoodle said, it's a wildly popular machine in Japan and probably has the best play balance of all the machines and perfect for a beginning player. Just like any other great thing: it's very easy to pick up but difficult to master. A very straight-forward, no-nonsense machine (play-wise).

Aqua 9, on the other hand, was pretty popular but it has a couple of slightly more complex reach events that may be hard to understand.

Thanks! I went with the Godzilla machine. I just couldn't let it go based on the theme. We are big Godzilla fans here in my house.

If all goes well and we enjoy it, I can see a Sea Story coming my way in november I have fallen in love with the King Camel pachislo though.... that and Super Black Jack........ sigh....... too much money and no room for all this good stuff.

The Godzilla machine is good too. The super reach battle events with the different monsters (Mothra, King Ghirdra, et al.) are fun to watch.

I like the NewGin machines because the winning/payout patterns are pretty easy to read unlike Sea Story which, as simple as it may seem, can get pretty complex.

This waiting for my Godzilla pachinko is killing me. It should be to me tuesday via FEDEX. Man, I wish there was local vendors for these things.......

Me and my 8 yr old son are passing the time playing the pachislos. Him on the Sinbad Adv and me on the Magic Pulsar. He blind shoots and does better than me trying to skill stop..... go figure.

    Waiting sucks.

I got my pachinko! 1st I had to put some feet on it. Then I had to clean it up. There is still cigarette burn above the ash tray ..... not too bad.

I had to figure out a way to make balls easy to get, as I don't want my son reaching around back.... I purchased another $20 walmart TV stand. I drilled a hole with a hole saw in the stand top. I then took a paper towel center and ran it from the ball drop to the shelf in the stand.

Then, I ran out to Radio Shack and picked up 50ohm 10 watt resistors to quiet the thing down. Installed those and they worked GREAT.

After That I made some L brackets and screwed the wooden side on the pachinko directly to the stand in 2 places so it cant fall over. (well, not easily)

I was then swiftly pushed out of the way and watched my son and daughter play for about 4 hours.

When I finaly got to sit and play, it was a lot of fun. Godzilla is a very nice machine, IMO.

What tips? I still don't really get pachinko. Its very fun, but it seems to be all chance. At least with a pachislo you have some control over where the reels stop. You can control the strength of the ball launch, but once the machine gets going the balls are knocking eachother around. :-) Oh, and what do the GO and PASS pockets do?

My Son did get what I guess was a bonus round where Godzilla fought all the monsters and that little trap door opened. It was very cool.

    Thanks!

Nooo... I think that's always been the rep that pachinko has gotten; that it's all chance and luck; it is not. To understand the true skill of pachinko is to look at the bigger picture of the "game" and understand the data; that is to say, the probability of events occuring, when these events happen, and overall the good patterns and bad patterns.
Given pachislo came from pachinko, it has the range of skills. The only real physical skill involved in pachislo is so-called eye shooting.

Eye-shooting that has a random chance built in when they allow the reels to slip upto 4 positions. Not exactly skill either.

    I like them both myself.

To me pachislo is the better game, but pachinko is ranking a close 2nd just behind it. Maybe when I learn it more, I will like it that much more. Still, I can't get past the fact that you just turn a knob and have no other interaction. But, I'm still learning..........

So can anyone explain what the GO and PASS pockets do ?

The Great Sea Story is a great Pachinko Machine... Its the most popular pachinko in Japan, and you cant walk 5 minutes without seeing Marin being displayed outside pachinko palors... Its based on the old Japanese Anime as with most pachinko games... Marin ( the lady ) is the most popular pachinko character out of all the games... Theres a new Pachinko game called "Gogo Marin", its the lastest in the "Great Sea Story" series... If you can get your hands on the machine "Gogo Marin", get that one, its a lot better than "Great Sea Story"....

Im not too sure if people in the US can get hold of the "Ultraman - Ultra 7" Pachinko, if you can get it, put it on the top on your list, this Pachinko is a wild one, and is currently earning the reputation as being the best pachinko ever.... Full on battle scenes with great entertainment, lot of variety of stuff mixed in.. plus so many teasers that will keep you wanting more....

I got videos of it from the Pachinko TV show, its in Japanese... however it shows just the game in action so no need to worry about the Japanese stuff.... I have to workout how to put it onto my computer, and i will post a link to it... Be warned, after watching the video, you will want to play it....

To me it's all about theme and mood. Either game is fun to me and I really can't say I like one more than the other but the theme is king. What mood am I in for what theme machine. I find the less energetic I am the more pachislo appeals to me. When I'm amped up, it's pachinko all the way.

When people come over they gravitate towards the slots because they inherently understand them better. Now all the ooh's and aah's I get come from the pachinkos. Over all I think the pachinkos do a better job of lights and sounds. Pachislo has more varied interaction. Drop tokens, press max bet, spin reels, stop reels and start again. Pachinko, turn handle, feed balls then feed more balls.
