    Angry Jet Set Radio help

I was pretty excited to check out jet set radio but after playing it for a few weeks I can't get it to do much. I've hit bonus maybe 2 times and a friend of mine hit it once. When it comes up to the chance games with the guy skating away from the cops I can never get very far! Now I know my skills aren't the best but i can hit bonus on time park pretty easily. Also I was reading a post where a guy said he still sees new stuff on his jsr even after playing it for months. I'm disapointed I must be doing something wrong because the machine doesn't seem to do much more then what I am describing. Is there a play guide for this machine? The skill is level 6 on both BTW.

    Mike

Try setting skill level at 3 or 4 and see if that helps.

I still see new things on a lot of my machines months after getting them.

But wouldn't that make it harder?

I noticed on my Neo Magic Pulsar when I first got it that when I had skill level set to 6 it didn't do much - like you're seeing - but when I changed it to a 3 it increased all kinds if activity. I think the 6 level may pay out more Big Bonuses but scrimp on the other actions. And the other actions can lead into bonuses themselves.

...you know I also feel JSR isn't all that exciting compared to my Tekken and Metal Slug....but I think I'll try switching to level 3 as suggested.

But overall I agree....it's hard to hit a BB and in general not much going on!....

    Hopefully this will work.

Not to hijack my own thread but what do you think of Metal Slug? I don't know anything about this title so give me a little run down of what the object is and how you like it. And Tekken I only wish I had one of those to play around with!

Thanks for the responses guys I have 1 more question... After a bonus game ends there is a yellow 'thing' on the bottom right of the lcd for a while but the machine seems to go cold after the bonus. I thought it might be indicating some kind of chance mode because the front panel lights are still flashing away during this. Any ideas?

I presumed this was a small prize round try shooting for the bars and you will get bells half the time.

Hi Mike...you should check out my reviews of both Metal Slug and Tekken at Kevin Steele's Retroblast.com....I've also included posted photos/videos....

    http://www.retroblast.com/articles/pachislo_21.html

Regarding the switch to "level 3"...holy cow it worked !......I never expected that to be the case that it would make the game more interesting....but I guess it makes sense. Since the game is harder the operator would want to have a machine that rewards the play enough to keep playing.

Now all kinds of interesting/fun screens are popping up. Way more than on level 6. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm having a similar time with my Sinbad Adv. The 1st couple days I had it (set to 6) we hit bonus all the time. So I set it to 4 or 5 and haven't hit since. I play a lot too .......

See, Sinbad does a lot, I just can't seem to get a bonus round. Maybe I'll just set it to 6 again.

Lucky, MM and Mike, I'm gonna have to try the lower setting on the Fire Drift.
Any ideas if the lower setting will have any effect on it?

TJ, you should get more video action and more smaller payoffs.

it should be harder to hit a bonus round,

I have yet to hit a BB or eveen an RB on that Fire Drift, Lucky.
It doesn't get the play it should, like the ArraKing. Both are kinda blocked by the Mephisto. By that I mean the FD is on the back left of the casino, the AK is on the back right facing the FD. The Mephisto is in the middle facing front, and I can't even get to the ArraKing to play it!
I can sort of get to the FD, but I don't bend well enough to be comfortable playing it
Oh, looks like it'll be sometime in Janurary '06 before I can move into the house...dangit!
But when I do, I'll have lots of room for pachis!

You can send one to me, then you'll have more room and won't have anything blocked.

JSR is 'Stock machine'. if you clear the stocked bonuses you can't get bonus soon even at level 6.
(i don't know how to delete the Stock. but owner can do that.)

this machine has limit (called 'Ceiling' in japanese).
if you win cherry after playing 1,100 games after last bonus, JetChance will be invoked.
    according to japanese pachislot magazine.

I have more fun on my Beast Sapp since I set it to 3 than I did at 6. Sapp ends up fighting more often and I hit more smaller bonuses too.
