    Default DGI (pachislot777) pachinko experiences?

How has DGI been doing with their pachinkos? Anyone here buy from them since they started carrying them? How was your experience? How was the MACHINE?

After a week in the UPS system (normal for left coast to east coast), I finally got my Sakura pachinko on Wednesday. (They called it "Flower Lotus")
Thought it would be a nice machine to have next to the Saint Maria that I got from SlotUSA a while back... same case, songs by Clair Moon, etc.

Got it unpacked on Thursday night. Knew from the auction there wouldn't be any feet... but I guess they don't include a tray either? Also, the balls were in a plastic bag, placed into the bottom "overflow" tray on the front... and then secured directly to the machine with a bunch of clear (aka STICKY) packing tape! YEOW!!! The tape residue is all over the area, and I'm leary of cleaning it off for fear of removing the paint from the case!

Other issues exist as well... things I know shouldn't be there since I have a case just like it. I'll hold comment on those until I get some kind of response from them, though.

Sent an email Friday about it, but as of yet... no response at all.
Sure hope to hear from them tomorrow! Usually they're pretty good at communication, but nothing so far on this.

How have pachinkos looked from them for other buyers here?

Sorry to hear about your new arrival. If you haven't tried a product called "Goo Gone", you will love it. We have used it on everything, including skin. Perfect for removing tape residue. But as always try on an out of the way place first. You can find it at most stores.

Thumbs up Re: DGI (pachislot777) pachinko experiences?

    Friends:
If you place a piece of tape over the glue residue and then pull the tape off it will usually remove the residue. Sometimes it takes a couple of trys but it usually works very well.

Use WD-40 on a soft cloth on glue and tape residue. Be careful of goo gone. It melts plastic.

Just tried it, VERY GOOD, better than peanut butter. I put it on a soft rag and worked slowly.

How exactly do you use the Peanut Butter? Do you put in on the residue and lick it off? That would explain why it does it slowly, takes awhile to lick off the residue.

The oils in WD-40 and the peanut butter do the trick. They get absorbed into the adhesives and emulsify the bond. WD-40 also takes off bugs on the front of your car. Just spray, let sit for a few minutes and wash off. You may want to do a light coat of wax afterwards on the car paint. When I clean the metal ramps on my pinball machines with water and brillo pads, I spray them afterwards with WD-40 and it displaces the water in the small grooves and weld joints and I never get rust again. The WD actually means Water Displacer and the 40 is the 40th formula to be tried. I also do a light spray on the locking cams ( not the lock mechanism !) on my pachi machines using the thin red tube that comes with the can and I haven't broken off any keys since I started doing this. WOW! Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Just wrote this one down in my notebook (Yeah... just like the one RainMan used...LOL!!)

I'll try that the next time I have sticky goo, since it looks like this machine will sadly be going back to DGI. Other scratches, paint blotches, and wear on the gold chrome (down to silver) just put it over the edge to be a keeper for me. If I ever wanted to sell this one myself, I'd need to call it a "scratch and dent"... and I don't want to do that. It wasn't just a matter of cleaning (ala SlotUSA), but pretty bad wear.

On the plus side, DGI did answer the email today. Asked me to pack it back up and they will issue a call tag to pick it up tomorrow. They said they will refund my money when they get it back. Guess that ties up my toy money for another week.

Well, anyway... thanks again for the suggestions.

Just wanted to follow up with this, and report the good service.
DGI sent a call tag for the machine, and once they saw it in the hands of UPS, they promptly refunded my PayPal account.
A big thanks to Dan at DGI for the good job!

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. You always hope that the company and the consumer can work it out (tokens, refund some of the purchase price, or whatever) to make up for problems. To have to send it back and forth across the country without anyone being satisfied is the last resort.
