I may as well stop lurking an post - I just won my first Pachislo on eBay - a New Terminator.
I hope it's as much fun as everyone says. It's going alongside my NeoGeo MVS cab.

Well, I'll add my name to the list. Been into pinball for more years than I care to remember (restoring and playing). Bought a Pachinko (Bruce Lee) recently and decided I needed a Pachislo to keep it company, so I bought a Tekken. Really nice machine, very pleased with it.
Did have one question that someone asked me. Do the Japanese 'buy' the Pachislo tokens for use in the machines or does it work some other way? Just curious as to the value of each one, ie how much a typical amount of usage of the machine would cost in Japan.

Yes, they buy the tokens to play the pachislos, in tray like the pachinko balls. They trade however many they have at the end, hopefully more than they bought.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

actually they rent the tokens or balls. the palours owe them.
they redeem them for a little less than they rent them for.
