Default Thunderbirds machine. Credits vs Payout?

I have a Thunderbirds machine I just got and was wondering if anyone else has this machine and if they were able to toggle between having the machine payout after a win or up the credits. Supposedly, you are supposed to hold down the credit payout button for a certain amount of time until the credits go blank, but I have not been able to accomplish this. Is it done another way or does this machine just not offer it? THANKS

You can start with adding 50 credits and add 3 tokens every spin and it will pay out tokens when you win.

what i don't understand is, why is there a 1 token, 2 token, and max button, if it will only spin on the max button.? you'd think, with those buttons, you should be able to play in token or credit mode. but how?

On some of the older models you can bet 1,2 or 3 Tokens,

rather then designing a complete new door frame to save money they use the same door frame for different models.

The real reason they have those buttons on Max Bet only machines is to confuse non Japanese Pachi hobbyists!!

    They find it funny!!

    Welcome to PachiTalk!

I have two machines that will only play Max Bet and another that will allow one, two or three tokens to be played. That confusion tactic sure worked on me

i understand some older models can play 1,2, or 3 tokens. i have one. but my question is directed to the Thunderbird's model. you can press the 1 or 2 token buttons, and they'll lite up on the left side, but the reels won't spin til you hit the max bet button. is there a way to change from credit to token on this model. basically i'm asking the same ? erich93063 did.
