    Basic stuff now.
Is the motor plugged in. Check and follow cables,
Is there enough balls in the rear tank. When almost empty a level switch/micro switch or proximity switch may trigger to prevent payout. Could be located on the rails down fron the rear tank. And/or at least 25 balls from the motor.
Bottom tray full sensor. If the tray is full /or thinks it's full. This also stops the payout motor.

Thanks - interesting. The upper trays are full... since I just put a plastic lunch container in the base of the machine I'm wondering where the "bottom tray" sensor is? - yes everything is definitely connected to the motor etc. I completely disassembled that section to access the stuck non standard ball.

Here are some photos... when you said."bottom tray" I thought you meant the tray that catches the balls?

Let me know your thoughts on where I should start the search for sensors? The two hanging hinged lobes can swing up should the bottom be fuller than it is?

Make sure ball flow down both channels to the payout motor.

The lobes are just there to force stop the balls from riding up.

By trays. I mean the two on the front.

As I said earlier I have 100% cleared the paths the balls flow - the motor doesn't activate

Worked quite a way through this- completely dismantled chute, cleaned microswitches - sanded and cleaned entire metal strip that runs length of chute - reconnected everything. Machine paid out once and then back to nothing. Is there a way to find the service manual for this unit?

Here's a further update... it appears to be the ball sensor for sure as well as potentially the inner ball microswitch (have zero idea how to get to it.. appears buried and I have had this thing 80% apart... a bit of google translate shows that the system thinks there are no balls (error 1) and if I connect the impossible to get to microswitch I get an error 3 ...20250111_200049.jpgScreenshot_20250111_200045_Google.jpg

Ball paths normally come out after a few screws removed. Never done this frame.

It's captured within the plastic inner frame.

The switches would be in the chute assembly. On most machines, After removing the payout motor and the top tank. The chute with switches can normally be removed. They are desogned to be easy to reduce down time if something blocks the machine. It will not be in the circuit board casings.
