Question Vintage Pachinko Three star issues

Hi All! This is my first post, new to Pachinkos and their repairs so I thought I would post here to see if someone can help me or guide me to where I should be looking. I am having trouble finding information on this specific issue with this certain model. I am going to try my best with the correct lingo, I appreciate the patience!

So this machine came into our shop really dirty and I have done a lot of clean up and repair already, however I am having an issue with what I believe to be the jackpot payout mechanism, specifically the see saw. I have attached pictures (I wasn't able to attach a video) of the area that I believe is the issue. Basically what is happening is that the machine seems to be running smoothly as long as there are balls in the jackpot payout area - The see saw will go back up after carrying the ball to the down position. As soon as I run out of balls in the jackpot area (there are no balls to drop down that chute) the see saw goes down and will not come back up - Even after I put more balls into it. Now I have only taken it apart somehwat, not fully - so I am thinking maybe it needs some more greasing and I just have to dig a little deeper. I just wanted to double check if or not this is something that is supposed to happen as I have read about how this machine basically works on gravity. I unfortunately don't have the instructions for the correct machine so I was hoping I could get some guidance into if this is what I shoudl be doing or if I shoudl look into something else - Or even if anyone knows where to find instructions for this specific machine!

Any help would be grately appreciated! I am so glad I found this forum - lots of great information

Welcome to pachitalk! The machine won’t function right without enough balls; 500 should do it. How many balls are you testing it with?

I’m not familiar with the rear mechanics of that model; but you shouldn’t lube anything on a pachinko as it will just attract more dust/grime to build up on pivot points and cause more issues down the road.

That makes sense! Thank you. So cleaning with just a regular kind of cleaner to get rid of the dirt and grime internally would be recommended then you think?

I am fixing this for a customer and we only have about 100 balls with it so I have just been cycling through it with those, maybe a bit less. My biggest concern was for when it runs out of balls, but it sounds like that is not something that is supposed to happen then!

I use all purpose cleaner; and sometimes Goof-off on really dirty parts.

Alright, we actually took a video to show what is happening - Hopefully it makes more sense. https://photos.app.goo.gl/T34c8mtaWchUEnE27

In the meantime I will continue with the all purpose cleaner!

Welcome to the forums. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm too an unfamiliar with the rear mechanics of that particular machine. But stick around, surely someone here will know more about it.
