Default Amtex Tokio Premium: No Sound

    Hello everyone,

I imported a Tokio Premium from JT Comatz.
The machine is optically and functionally fine except that there is no sound at all coming from the speakers (not even static).
In the video JT Comatz sent before the machine got packed up, the sound was working, so it must be due to the transport across the world.
I have asked them for support but I'm the meantime I might as well try here too. Any advice or experience what could cause this issue? Anything besides reseating connectors that I can try? I don't have any technical documentation on this machine.

The machine has 2 tweeters and 1 sub.
I have tried to reseat all the connectors but so far to no avail.

    Thanks,JumpMaybe

BTW, I the volume control is on the front around the central Push button. I can see the volume changing on the screen, which is usually accompanied by clear tones but in my case I don't hear those.

Did you turn up the volume via the chance button (twist it)?

I had 4 sessions already checking and reseating the cables and removing covers and boards to reach more connectors. So far no change, the machine is still functioning otherwise.

    Here's a video:

Here are some pictures of the machine:https://photos.app.goo.gl/v7JiCrZd5rPjSToU7

Thanks guys, it would be glorious to get the sound working somehow.

    Cheers, Jump
Hopefully the engineer can help me.

What happens if you try various settings on the master volume knob? (On one of the boards on the rear of the machine; not the front)

I’ll take a look at mine (I have this exact model) when I get home if you can’t find it…

I doubt JT Comatz would have messed with the master volume before shipping; but it’s probably worth checking to eliminate that as the cause?

Yeah, there's this grouping of a knob, 3 position slide switch and a button switch. I tried playing around with these but they didn't seem to change anything. Let me know what yours is set at and what they do.
    Thanks for checking!

Here’s what mine look like; terrible pic, but the “5” on the knob is in the 12 o’clock position for the master volume knob; I don’t know what the other sliding switch does… never noticed it, the reset button might be cell specific reset; some machines have not only a reset button on the frame near the power button but on the cell itself (on one of the boards on the cell)

You could try pressing it down with something while turning it on? Not unlike resetting it using the main reset button.

This machine has speaker wires that could easily get caught/snagged on something and pull a connector out (or worse) might want to inspect the connectors and wires around the small board near the bottom speaker?

Very happy to report the issue is fixed, thanks to JT Comatz support for following up. They suggested to check the audio ROM board connection. I had considered this before but didn't touch it yet because I wasn't sure if the connection was fixed or fragile. Alas after reseating the board the sound works and I'm a happy camper. Thanks for the suggestions here as well, felt good to have some companions!

Glad it was an easy fix! JT Comatz has some excellent and very helpful pachinko tech gurus! They have helped me out with a couple minor issues too… [emoji846][emoji106]
