2003 Mephisto type-B machine worth buying

2003 Mephisto, Type-B machine. Pretty dependable if it’s been sitting in a spare bedroom (in its box) for 6 years? Looks new! How much is the going rate for that year of Type-B, if it runs, without seeing issues? Thx in adv.

Yep. Seller says its only been out of the box once and played a couple of times, then back in the box. Looks new by his pictures. Has not shown me a video of it working yet though…what would you pay for it if 2 keys, tokens, and works? I think he said 2003 model..

It depends on the location and your interest in the theme. The machine can be in fantastic condition, but if you don't care about the theme it has very little value for you.

Personally I have machines I like better so I wouldn't pay over $75 for it in great condition with keys. But if I didn't already have a bunch of Pachislos, I'd be willing to go higher, possibly as high as $150. That said, I've sold machines with better themes and gimmicks for over $200, but had a hard time selling them locally and had a $200 machine listed for over 3 months (with lots of interested buyers but nobody actually came through). Selling at $150 and below will go fairly quickly though.

Ultimately the machine is worth (to you) whatever you're willing to spend on it. The number of tokens is also important. There's a big difference between 50 tokens or 1000 tokens. .

The other day I saw someone selling on Facebook claiming a machine (pretty basic and old, no LCD screen) was worth $1200 and the tokens $2 each. Not sure what he was smoking but he'll be lucky to get $100-$125 for his machine including tokens.

After further research of 2003 Mephisto Pachislo machine, the machine’s theme & background music doesn’t quite fit our game room needs..for the grandchildren’s enjoyment. Still desiring a 2000 year+ Type-B machine that has the 4th wheel intermediate action as Mephisto has though. Any suggestions on Other Type-B that are a bit livelier in their themes? Thanks in advance.

I don't have any really good ideas.. Maybe someone else has a better list of type B machines.. All I could find was this stores page of B type machines..
