Default Nishijin Shiroi Kamome Super DX

I am very new to Pachinko machines. I was gifted one by my grandfather that he got from a bar he used to frequent back in his good old days. I have looked up some stuff so I think this one is from the 1970s and a model C but I have no key so i can only see part of the label. There a weird Y thing on the side that I have no idea what that is. Can someone educate me on what exactly this is and possibly some details/history/facts about it? https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...usp=drive_link

Welcome to the forums, that's a good looking machine. Can you post a picture or two of the back of the machine? The "expiration tags" in the lower right corner of your 3rd picture will help you determine the year it was manufactured.

    Check out the link below.

Unfortunately, the expiration tags are blocked by the door which I don't have a key for. I am unsure if I can unlock it from the back or not and I am scared of damaging the machine. I would ideally like to keep it as intact as possible without drilling or cutting too. From some basic research I did there is no ideal way of getting a key but I could be wrong. Here is the image for the back:

You don't need a key to open the glass door.

Looking at the back of the machine, on the right side is a lever, (a wire with a loop in it) pull up on it and the glass door will open.

Once you have the glass door open you can open the shooter tray door by pushing down on a latch, on the left side of the playfield.

Look at the pictures below. I have the lever and latch marked.

Looks like the foul ball return chute is in the way even if you do open the door; which is typical of model C, so unless you want to pry it off and reinstall it (just a couple nails holding it).

It’s very likely from 77’-79’ range being a model C. I can almost guarantee it!

When I restored one of my model Cs I left the tax stamp unglued so can pull it out and show the year (1978) Not that the year makes much difference on a 70s model; not rare or at all.
