Default 1st shot at a cabinet for my first Pachinko machine. Jurassic Park

I will start by saying while I love building stuff I know I don't build things properly. I just kinda dive in with no major expectations and see how things go. That will be the case with this project. Building a cabinet for my first pachinko machine Jurssic Park. I still don't know how to identify exactly what machine it is but it works and I love it. I have a small obsession with anything Jurassic so this machine will be going in our Jurassic spare room. I'm going try and only use scrap wood and odd materials I have around the house. I will be purchasing T-Molding and trying that out for the first time. Fingers crossed.

Upper right hand side of the playfield is the name and spec with the odds.

I 'm having trouble getting it to lay in the groove flat. It looks bumpy even tho i cut the groove for the T molding well past what it needs.

Nice design. Quite a bit different. Although the hole on top to feed balls into the machine with is a little small from what I can see. It's might clog up. I assume you'll add a container with a hole in the bottom on top to hold more balls in? Generally the container in the back of the machine isn't all that large once you start winning.

And you'll want to take a piece of carpet runner, foam or rubber for the balls to drop onto in the bottom as the metal on wood sound is rather loud.

I like the red and black contrast. I might have to try T-molding on my next cabinet too.

I am going to put a container to hold or load balls on the top. I did a 1 1/2" hole. What size should I go to in order to avoid clogging? I was thinking about doing a catch in the back of the machine and putting mat in the catch to avoid the noise.

Not sure what size hole works without clogging. I had a 1.5” hole with a bit of pipe below it and it clogged regularly as the container above filled up. Since then I use a rectangular opening as big as possible with a wooden chute that surrounds the container at the back of the machine and have had no problems.

20230527_122820.jpg Hanging was pretty easy with a french cleat made from a 2x4" The top is a wood bowl I drilled out a 1.5" hole in the bottom and painted to look like half an egg. If the hole ends up to small I can drill it out larger.
