Question Daiichi Machine Not Booting Flashing Red Lights

I've had this Daiichi machine for a while and just recently the lcd won't turn on (not booting?), makes no sounds and only the red lights flash. Balls still fire.

Would really appreciate anyones advice on what could be the issue.

Just bumping this incase anyone has a clue. I've checked all the fuses, inspected all the pcbs and the power supply and all seems good. I'm really not sure what else could be causing this.

Guessing , I’ve had a few machines that had switches on the inside of the front bottom door..
    Check around..
also some members have pulled the main fuse and let it sit. Might reboot on its own

next I would clear all the balls, check for looses connections and see if the jackpot is reset..

Others here can help with diagnostic methods, depending on your technical expertise
    keep trying and good
    luck

Oh really do you think that could be it? The machine was operating in the past but just started doing this recently. Is that normal?

Yeah that little computer looking plug if it doesn't have a dongle shooters won't shoot and payouts don't happen and such .

I haven't played my early modern machines in a few years so I am a little fuzzy on what can go bad or stop and drive you a little bit ahgh ! But eliminate the obvious one by one and soon you might have a wonderful machine to play and enjoy .

I think this machine predates the CR style, so no dongle would be needed. Not having a dongle prevents the shooter from functioning, but the rest of the machine would function just fine. In this case the shooter works but there is an issue with the rest of the machine.

Flashing lights generally means an error. Often a reset would help for anything non-fatal. The LCD not working tends to imply that there's something wrong with the graphics: Power to the LCD, issue on with the graphics chip on the main board, issue with the main board in general, issue with power to the main board, etc.

The combination of flashing lights and no LCD would make an issue with the main board most likely (chances are that the frame is not seeing the cell, for example). I'm guessing you've already unplugged every connector and reconnected them (you'd be surprised how often that fixes issues on older equipment). Once you get past that stage though I'm little help beyond trying to follow power lines and seeing if the boards all have power.

This is a CR machine, but like said above, a dongle problem should only affect the shooter!!

I've ordered a dongle just in case it resolve the issue but Im not holding my breath.

In the mean time I've taken the entire cell apart and reconnected all the wires and the issue is still present. Not really sure more I can check. Maybe there is an issue sensing that there are enough balls in the hopper?

Working on a machine can be a form of meditation. By working the problem step by step . Heck my breathing slows and my heart rate lowers while I'm working a problem be it Pachinko related or something else .

Check your Entire Ball Path and Ball Payout Mechanism . In the photo of the Back of your machine I noticed multiple things that raise questions with me .

    1. Top left circuit board one black male connector has Nothing going to it .

    2. Upper center circuit board Red and Green connector port Nothing going to it.

    3. Blue Ball out port Broken with a Cover broken off .

Remember work the problem . The old saying "How do you eat an Elephant ? One Piece at a time . "

Sorry yes those black and white wires were unplugged as I was in the process of debugging. They are back home now.

I've completely broken down the machine again and reseated all the plugs. I've dismantled the ball track and it seems completely free of obstructions.

It still fires balls and still pays out.

I've tested the power supply and it seems to be healthy.

So you've checked the wiring for the video display ? And burnt looking electronics ? Any other fuses except for the lower right one in the back ?

Yep ive checked all the wiring and the pcbs. I cant see any obvious damage. There is a fuse near the bottom right of the machine which I replace but there is also a second fuse on the top left pcb. I haven't replaced that one as it looks perfectly fine, but maybe it's worth a go.

I've tested that second fuse and it seems to be working fine.
