Default Any suggestions or comments of buying Pachinko machines in Japan

    Hello,
I will be going to Japan next month and would love to bring a few machines back. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy machines there? Also if anyone has taken machines home themselves did you encounter any issues with customs?
    Thanks for your help!

JT Comtaz has a warehouse in Japan, Tokyo I believe? Probably be easier to let them ship for you than trying to do it yourself, they are the experts at it after all. If you are buying “a few” would likely be much cheaper to ship via the next group shipment organized on FB via slow boat (on pallets) vs costly air shipping….($120 per machine vs $400+ per machine) however then you’d still have to pay domestic shipping charges once they arrive in NY. (At least another $100 per machine) Still cheaper than air shipping though, and probably less likely to get broken in transit when properly secured and shipped on a pallet and no chances for FedEx or UPS to bust them up.

Thanks for your response. I spoke to JT Comtaz and they just offered shipping. They have some cool machines though.

Were you trying to drag them through the airport like luggage to bring them home with you? The boxes they come in are much too large/bulky/heavy to be trying to check as luggage; they weigh over 100 lbs and would not be fun to be trying to get through the airports with multiple pachinkos. I wouldn’t be surprised if most airline carriers charged more than what FedEx would based on the oversized weight/size; but sounds like it’s more of a question for the airline.

some folks here do a Group Buy They purchase a shipping container full of machines and save lots of money

    JT-Comatz is well-established and reliable ~ you can group buy - Page 4 (pachitalk.com)

Thanks I am working with them now. Shipping from Taiwan is good especially if ordering 3 or more. Unfortunately they have a lot we want in the Japan warehouse. Japan Fedex prices kill the deal. Great price too on Persona 5 slot.

Buying machines in fairly cheap here. I got picked up my last machine for 10k yen, CR adapter for 900 yen, and packing was about 2,000. I spent exactly 100 USD for my machine. As far as the shipping cost? Look into international shipping via ship. I think you can get a machine to the USA for less than 250 depending on the machine.

Is there a specific machine you want?

I plan on going to whole bunch of parlors. Persona 5 and Konosuba are top of the list. I received a good price for Persona 5 but shipping from Japan was too much. Hoping to get Persona 4, Jaws and Berserk too.
