Default First time owner have a few questions.

Just picked a "Kentucky Derby" machine out of the corner of a trash collection center. She's a bit of a mess but seems to work fine. There were 3 tokens inside the cabinet stuck under the power supply/reset control box. So I was able to get it actually spinning. Question one. Its in Chinese is there any way to change the language programming? #2 Is there a way to make it a payout machine. this one seems to only reward credits. I would love to make it more interesting for the kids/family to play. #3 Is there a way to change it over to accept American quarters? Once I get her cleaned up I will post pics. Cant wait to play some more and hopefully add a few more machines to the collection.

    1) Nope. all machines are set in Japanese. Were only ever meant to for Japanese gaming industry and not ever designed to be used in homes around the world.
    2) Most machines bank up to 50 credits before paying out. Just the way the system works. Some can be changed to cash versions, by holding down one of the buttons. Can't remember what one. this only works on about 2% of machines and mostly the older ones.
    3) Fastest way to get yourself banned. Currency conversion is a big no-no. Due to legal reasons from state to state/country to country.

Thanks for the info and advice. The machine does bank 50credits before having to be "reset". If I'm correct this is a sammy manufactured machine. There is no coin bucket inside at all. I guess ill start there on parts. As far as I can tell thats all thats missing. Would that contain the "payout" mech/tech? I apologize for the conversion question. Will order some tokens instead.

No coin bucket or no hopper?
Machine accepts 50 tokens before reset..
so you can’t actually get the reels to spin?

I can get the machine to function thanks to the 3 tokens i found inside the case under the reset/power switch box. I think i found the hopper on ebay. But would like to make sure its the correct one before ordering it. If its allowed I will post a link here for a yes or no on that. Like i said before she still needs a cleaning but here are a few pictures of the interior/exterior. If you need specific ones just let me know. 341918137_787794225840154_8161347490286303691_n (1).jpg341960247_971126663899651_2633682498521845817_n.jpg344585278_959586262129848_4474196557721851719_n.jpg341912788_1812665765882350_7061550790211294314_n.jpg

I think i found the one i needed it specified it was a sammy hopper. It comes with the wiring. I believe its an 8pin connector same as the one in your picture. I will keep updates as the parts come in and let you know.

Trying to set the machine to "payout mode". Followed the instructions given in the "Everything" book to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Sammy machine if that makes a difference.

What do all those blue cables go to? They aren't factory.

They run to a set of pots on the side that control the volume. one for Voice ques and the other for mech ques. You can adjust them independently or turn it all the way off.

Anyone got a tip on how the reduce "Reel whine" I don't know what to call it exactly but that's the best description I could think of.

Could try a thin synthetic or high speed oil(sewing machine oil)
reality they have been spun a lot in there lives and the noise of the pachislo parlor would muffle it out

Thank you for the link. This shows the graphics/artwork. Do you know where I could order a replacement from. I'm gonna save the one in this one as its from the "Kentucky Derby" and may be worth something to someone down the line. I just want to roll this one back as close to stock as possible.
    Thanks again.
