I plan to dunk the metal door in evaporator for a few hours. I believe I need to remove this dark blue plastic piece. I don’t see any fasteners. Any idea how I can get it off?

I just read the label for the evapo rust and noticed it is safe for plastics. When I get some time next week I’ll soak the door in a tub of it for a few hours. It should work great.

i use a dental pick
reach under and lift the steel tab up
then go the the opposite side and lift that from the bottom.. always from the bottom, back and forth,,
once ya get it off then tap it flat with a smooth finish hammer..
to reinstall push it on with a super small deep well socket. install by hand no pounding needed.. support the plastic and push
this style is pretty easy to get off.. the ones that are rectangular in shape are way harder to get started
ya have to take it off it will alow you to polish the chrome and not leave a halo..
