Default Photo/explain Pachinko ball shooter mechanism

Hi, I've been looking everywhere online to find a photo of the modern pachinko ball shooter assembly. Can anyone help me out? Does it use an electric solenoid to thry up the ball or a spinning motor wheel, or??? Thanks!

    Well the answer is yes.

Some use a solenoid, some use a rotating cam that presses against a hammer. And some use a mix of the two, by firing a curved arm.

It really depends on the year and manufacturer. There's a fairly wide range of variation.

“Modern pachinkos” span over 43 years now…lots of variations of shooters I’d imagine in that time.

Pictures of the specific machine with shooter issues might help narrow it down?

Actually my plan is to build my own game from scratch. I wanted to find the method that fires the balls with the most force. Any opinions out there? Also is there a place that sells shooter mechs separately? Thanks to you all.

You need a shooter with easily variable force; not more force than is needed to get balls fired to the right side of the playfield. Any more force than that is working against the player; more erratic ball movements= less control of where they are going…Not good…It needs to be highly sensitive to movement of the shooter handle, you have to finesse the balls; not manhandle them!

Sounds like an ambitious project! There’s no place to buy generic shooter mechanisms, each manufacturer makes their own versions. The easiest way would just be reuse one from a parts machine, but that wouldn’t be built “from scratch”. Might be better off making a Frankenstein machine with reusing certain vital parts in my opinion.

A muffler bearing wrench and about 14.2 square in lbs by pie multiplied by 1.1, minus the 5 o'clock tide e.s.t, or a magnet will suffice.

Well thought . the old phrase "A shot is a good as a mile" comes to mind.

With some work it.would.be possible to automate a vintage shooter. Or source one from a mid nineties pre CR machine.

On the Sankyos and others the motor always turns at the same speed. The shooter knob adjusts the hammer return spring force by applying more tension to it.

This guy sells lots of early modern parts; I see some shooters! No telling if they work or not though….

It would be much easier than trying to reverse engineer one though that’s for sure!
