More work, glass cutting with a tool that has to be 80 years old. Painting the lock catch. And yes their is a reason for the offset window pane.
I got the door to latch if you just push on it, and the way I set it up the lock will push the door open when you unlock it. Fancy.

Work on the electrical system. The micro switches are going to work using the gravity of the game. I checked out the micro switches and it is working accordingly. The transformer is on the side.

The prepped the wood for the new background. It has to be perfect for the new background, I filled in the issues, sanded it down using several different sandpaper grit, its coming along.

Work on the upper cabinet, the idea was a glass with パチンコ and a light behind it. Like the example of the one I am posting. I used several fuses for this project, this way I protected the system.

I installed a lock cover on the lower lock. This is for the bottom door of the cabinet. I was able to install a locking system that required no modifications to the lock.

Work done on the background board. I decided to paint it, since it was coming apart, then I glued it together again, the old holes, pieces of wood missing were filled, sanded smooth.
The front of the board was sanded smooth, the imperfections was taken care of, and the holes cleaned out. I added a extra light so I modified the board.

Installed micro sensors, adjusted the winner flag, I don't know why they pin these flags down, however this is back and operating. If I got the plastic inside of the frame, I still have the glass to install outer frame.

Work on the play field. Installed the background, nails, railing, decorations, and more.

Important note, don't allow the backing to touch the table you are working on, I have to refinish my kitchen table now.
A scrap of backing got on the table and now the table has a bald spot.

Brass nails are installed on the playfield, I used a tack hammer to get them bottomed out properly, everything is working, the win flag, the parts are in behind the playing field. I figured out the window latch, its working excellent. I have been installing new screws throughout the project, replacing nails with screws, replacing old screws, replacing staples with screws. Overall, it's taking a lot of screws throughout the project, and new nails if required. I added several lights in the game.

Nice cabinet! Why didn’t you polish the nails before reinstalling them? It makes a huge difference! Rock tumbler with crushed walnut shells and a bit of Blue Magic metal polish will have those nails looking shiny and brand new!

It’s a lot more work to try to polish them when installed…

This is a "frog" theme pachinko. All new rubber parts are installed, everything is clean and serviced.

I put new screws in the machine that were staples. The lock is functioning great, probably hasn't worked since it was in Japan.
I'm put on the covers using all new nails, those other nails were nasty.
Some of the wiring harness was moved to accommodate the machine.

Some of the wiring harness, lights, I have everything wire coded, numbered, so it's easy peasy to find a problem if it arises.

A couple of more photos of the front of the machine. As I said, the lock is working awesome, the front turned out nice overall.
This is a copy of the original background, the old one was turning into dust when I handled it, causing some issues with using it as a template to locate the old holes. Overall everything went according to plan.

The ball recovery for the machine: I suspected that the unit was going to have to be put in the lower part of the cabinet, and I was 100% correct. The ball recovery is too large for it to be mounted into the cabinet where the machine is located. I think it is made for the newer machines, however the setup is perfect for this builder. Will post pictures later. Time for more drawings. I had a whole lot of fabrication, alignment, to do, it was a whole lot of work.
