Default Did Pachinko Parlors “Mark” Machines With Engraved Balls

When restoring my Sanyo Comet-II, I noticed that balls which had been stuck for decades in the mechanism had the same engraved markings as those inside the See-saw mechanism. Did Pachinko Parlors “mark” their machines by placing their own branded balls in the See-saw mechanism or did manufacturers do this for them? Anyone know the true story on this?

Yes, Sanyo or Sankyo had their own parlors in the day and it figures that they would trademark everything in that parlor .

Yeah, lots of balls are engraved with the parlor name, or specific symbols, to cut down on people bringing in balls from other parlors. There’s hundreds of different kinds!
