Default Nishijin ball loading mechanism problem

Hey y’all. I just picked this up for $20, it’s my first machine. Everything seems to be working accept for the ball loading mechanism. I think I am missing the piece that pulls down the ball feeder arm. I also think the plastic bit that pushes up the ball is bent, the ball gets stuck.

I found the post about the Model A animation but the video link is dead.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Looking at pictures of mine, I believe you are missing this clear plastic piece that works with the thin wire to feed balls to the shooter assembly.

I checked your album and don't see a picture of the complete mechanism that is mounted to the playfield.

On older Model A's The mechanism that loads balls didn't have a plastic lever that worked off of a wire on the hammer.

On that model there should not be a wire on the hammer. So, I would like to see the complete mechanism to see what mechanism is in your machine.

Wayne-Ooo is right, I posted a shot of my model B shooter, here's my model A shooter, the back of mine looks somewhat different from yours, I don't see anyplace for this to mount on yours, that's why I was thinking the missing part was more similar to a model B.

Thanks for the pictures, that was what I needed.

The mechanism in your machine is a variation of the one I posted a picture of.

You are missing the plastic lever (circled in red) that works off of the wire on the hammer.

    Holy cow, thanks y’all.

I was thinking I could just make a wire piece to replace it?

Or would it be much easier to source a part?

Well, it's not like you can just order parts for these machines. Parts come from machines that people have decided to "part out".

You would have to make sure you get the correct firing arm, as there are slight variations. There are some listed on EBAY, but none for that mechanism.

There is complete mechanism listed on EBAY, that looks as if it may work. It appears to have a broken piece that was fixed.

I could make a 3D printed version for you. I have generated a couple versions of this part already for other machines.

OK. I'll get started by the end of the week and then need time to to generate the part. I'll give updates here

So I have a working load lever for an early Model A, and have tested it on my machine. But it mounts on a brass shaft that comes off the back of the shooter module.
    modelaloadlevercompare.jpg

    modelaloadlevelmount.jpg

In your pictures I don't see the shaft.
And the plastic that is visible does not look quite like my machine.

    modelArear1.jpg

Can you remove the shooter module from the machine and take pictures of the rear of it?

After looking at your pictures from the front zoomed in tight, I believe that the mounting boss for the missing shaft is still there as seen
    in this picSlide1.JPG

I can send you a brass shaft the same length as on my machine, then I suppose it can be pressed into the boss

Here is how mine looks when removedmodelashooterrear.jpg
And while the position of the shaft is slightly different on yours, I believe the load lever is the same.
