Default How to take Voltage reading from Pachislo Hopper Cables

Can someone let me know what the proper way to take a voltage reading from those 8-pin Hopper Power Cables?

I do not see any exposed metal contacts as the male pin connector has the contacts within the housing.

The male/female clips join together with a click and does not expose any contact.

Is there a proper technique that is used to get the voltage reading?

My initial thoughts were to push in a small wire into each of the holes in the connector allowing me to take the reading from there. Not sure if this is the suggested method.

    Any tips would be appreciated!

Usually just stick the probe firmly into where the wires go into the socket connector. If you can't do it that way then you need to make contact further down where the wires meet the circuit board on the hopper.

One way to take a voltage reading from an 8-pin hopper power cable is to use a multimeter with probes that can fit into the holes of the connector. You can set the multimeter to measure DC voltage and connect the probes to the appropriate pins according to the polarity and voltage range of your cable.

Another way is to use a differential measurement system that can measure the potential difference between two terminals without being affected by common-mode voltage. This may require special equipment and wiring that can handle high currents and voltages.

You should also be careful not to overload your cable or connector by drawing more power than it can handle. The maximum power for an 8-pin PC PSU cable is 150W, but it may vary depending on your specific cable type and manufacturer.
