    Default Bedrock Bowling Model A

I picked up a bowling themed Model A, last Saturday. It's in pretty rough shape, with some pieces broken and some missing, on the back.

I thought the bowling theme would make a good custom machine.
I have seen other machines like this, with custom playfields, and thought I'd try my hand at one.

I came up with The Flintstones, Bedrock Bowling. I designed a custom playfield and have it partially put back together.
Also, designed a new sticker for the bowling lane in the center feature.

Here are some pic's of what has been done in the last three days.
I think it's coming along pretty good.

Very cool, I've got a Nishijin model A bowling alley themed as well, so I'll be following this thread very closely.

    UPDATE:

I bought another "no name" model A, to replace the broken and missing parts, I needed.

It was a lot cheaper to buy another machine than to buy the 4 parts, I needed, separately.
Sourcing the parts through places like Ebay, it would cost well over $100.

So, I should get it all put back together tomorrow.

Got all the rear pieces cleaned and put back on. All the lighting was changed to LEDs and a LED light strip for a playfield light.

I added some to the center feature that flash. Here is a short 10 second video showing them. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lWXLUwJu5FI

I really like the lights behind the jackpot payout mechanism, I just might have to "borrow" that idea from you and implement it on mine.

"Borrow Away", that is one of the reasons why I share what I do to machines.

To give others ideas, besides just a original restoration.

I use mostly pre-wired led's from Amazon. They are Edgelec brand, 9 to 12V DC. They come in all colors and can get them in flashing or solid.
Depending where they are to be placed, I either use hot glue, wire clips or drill a hole and use a grommet to hold in place.

I also use led's from the automotive section at Walmart. They are 12VDC. The light strips work well for playfield lighting.

I also found a bag of led lights,(about 30 units in the bag), at a Goodwill Store that were pre-wired and have a 3 position switch for different flashing patterns. They power by using 2 AA batteries, but I remove the battery compartment and power them with a 5VDC transformer.

The payout and hopper empty lights use the existing leaf switches that come with the machine.

    Hope that helps you.
