    Default Daiichi shooting mechanism

Hello, my name is Matt. I recently purchased a 1970’s Daiichi pachinko machine at a antique store because it looked cool. Not knowing anything about it, I didn’t pay much for what looked to be a complete machine. I did some research and believe that it is missing the plastic shooting mechanism. I will include pictures of my pachinko and the part that I screenshot from a video on YouTube. If anyone has a extra one or can point me to where I can find one, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Matt Hello, my name is Matt. I recently purchased a 1970’s Daiichi pachinko machine at a antique store because it looked cool. In the back your missing most of the covers.

Here is a somewhat complete version of your maker of your machine on eBay

I have one of these Daiichi ("New Vangurd" as the badge is spelled) machines with the angled window and the drop in shooter module. I don't want to disable the machine by selling the shooter, but I am willing to use it as a model to try and create a replacement for you. It is a fairly simplistic design and should be a fun challenge for this week. It won't be all clear plastic, but I'll be working on making a replica that works as good as the original even if doesn't look exactly the same.
It'll be this weeks 3D printer project that can (has to) be run on the bigger 3D printer, while I make leaf switch housings on the small printer.

I saw this thread this morning, and jumped into TinkerCad and produced a drawing of the hardest part - the housing

shooterdrawing.jpg it looks pretty close to the original shootercompare.jpg

So it is on the printer now for Version1 to see how close I am

    daiichijob.jpg

A drawing for the pivoting ramp is next

Hello Sidsr, that would be excellent. I really appreciate the quick response and initiative on 3D printing a part that is hard to find. I am new to pachinko machines, but have learned a lot about them quickly from the vast amount of videos and websites. Thank you again. Matt

version 3 of the housing is about to be printed.
The pivot ramp drawing is finished and version 1 printed...version 2 next
Top clear cover is on version 2 and very close.
Small clear cover drawing is about to begin.
    I'll gets some pics up

For some reason I don't seem to mind burning hours doing the drawings and then making them into reality.
I spent a good part of the day on Saturday working on the two hardest drawings, felt bad that I didn't do much else, but enjoyed it anyway.

I slid version 2 of the housing into the machine today and I'm pleased..it's very close already.

So here I have all 4 pieces of the assembly printed and assembled. I put it in the machine and discovered a couple more tweaks need to be made, so another version is on the printer for 4 more hours.
I should have a fully functioning unit here shortly.

I am looking into modifying the large main cover with a window so that the action can be viewed like it is supposed to be.

Pachinko machines may not seem overly precise in general, but when you start going deep enough to replicate parts, you find 1-2mm making a big difference sometimes.
Accurate measuring is key to getting them right and it's amazing how accurately the printers can reproduce the drawing down to small holes, etc.

Been away for a few days. But have a functioning shooter that I have launched 100's of balls with. A couple minor issues cropped up once it got to this point, but it's at 95% ready to sent to you.
Pics taken, but need editing before posting.

    Hey Matt,

Your machine can be working as soon as I can ship it to you. I have the final versions of all 4 printed parts assembled and have been using it in my machine for a few days now with no issues. I can feed balls one at a time, or keep 3-5 balls on the playing field if desired without a misfeed.

    PM me with your address

    UPDATE:
First, a special thank you to SibSr for taking his time and effort to 3D print a shooting mechanism for my machine. My machine is firing now just like it should. I am going to try and post a video.
I had fun learning a lot about these machines just trying to get mine playing. I need to get a new payout switch and I can get the payout lights working. Thanks again to SibSr and this great forum. Matt
