Pachislo missing reset key

I have a chance of picking up a machine tomorrow under 100, its throwing the e1 code, Which according to youtube should be easy, however when looking inside the machine, the reset key is missing as well as the lock that sits in the hole. it looks like the lock was there and removed. Is it possible to reset this without this piece?

looks like someone punched the lock out. It might still be a functioning switch if you can get it to turn. However I suggust you try with the power disconnected first.
long term. it can be replaced with a simple rocker, latching push button switch. its a simple single open/closed switch

the only question now is, it wont let me insert 1 coin and spin, I have to put in 3, is this a setting? and I cant find any type of volume adjustment either

Found the volume and it only plays on 3 tokens according to pachislo database! I dont have music though, Im hoping the volume switch fixes that but I wont know until tomorrow cause kids are asleep and its super loud

Yeah pachislo are set at the factory for Three Token to start

Yeah its set on 3 token, my issue now is, I finally hit the jackpot, music works however immediately after hitting 50 credits it gave me an error "HP", the hopper works if I hit the switch on the power supply, so i dont know what this was

My guess would be that the sensor or sensors need cleaned or are bad. Or, could be something broken or missing. There is normally a spring loaded bar that moves back and forth, through the sensors. This lets the machine know that a token was paid and keep track of tokens paid out.

Turn the hopper over and you will see the sensors. Be gentle in cleaning them or you could damage them. Use a moistened Q-tip with window cleaner.

The picture I posted may or may not look like yours, but will give some kind of idea what you are looking for.

Ok cool i have the same brand hopper as that pic, ill check that out tonight. I had to buy a volume control for this thing, i found a replacement door lock for it also as that was missing. And grabbed more tokens. This thing cleaned up nicely its a fun game

When you say the you get an HP error.

Does this mean.

The hopper turns, you get tokens but an error.

or

The hopper doesn't turn, No tokens come out and you get error?

what happens if you put some tokens in, then press the cash out button next to the spin lever?

The hopper works as it should. If i cash out it works. Also if i flip the switch on poeer supply it will release every coin in it. The error came when i hit 50 credits on machine and it had to pay out extras. I cleaned the switches but havent tried again to see if it works

I just put 50 credits in and hit a line for 15 and it spit them out no issues, so im assuming its working now. I got a new door lock too which is a huge help since it was missing.
