I did some digging and the Z1 component on my board is not a Zenor Diode it is a 1500W 47V bidirectional voltage regulator. What it does is regulates AC voltage and stops it from going over a certain threshold. I originally thought I could put 2 diodes back to back but I soon found out this does not work with AC current.

Anyway, I changed the Z1 component, the one beside the 10AMP fuse and still nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas what the hell is going on?

I can't get to any of my Sankyo machines as all packed away at the moment. I can only guess one of the voltage regulators has gone down.

If nothing else works, I’d just buy another Lumina framed machine that’s not fried, a very common frame; then you can try cell swapping it (and have two games to play instead of just one). I recommend Julie Pinball, Star Wars, or Casino Bisty.

Assuming the electrical damage didn’t make it to the itself cell too.

My desktop unit I noted was missing a transformer. I ordered on on Thursday. So should be able to test my PSU early next week

OK. My voltages re slightly higher. Might be because nothings been plugged into it.

So measuring from the bridge rectifier

    Yours / Mine

    0 / 12
    5 / 5
    21 / 24
    32 / 35

So what ever drives the 12v circuit is faulty

Thank you for the info. Can you do me a favour and take a pic of where exactly you are measuring to get the 12 V?

Sure. Later. But it's from the negative leg of the bridge rectifier and the fuse holder.

I checked from the negative leg of the bridge and got 12V DC. For some reason I get 0 from the positive leg.

    One more favour please.
Would you unplug all output cables from the power board (just leave the incoming 24V AC) and turn your unit on. Do all the 9 LEDS light up?
