Default Gladiator ball jam. Suggestions to repair

I love my Gladiator pachinko machine. It has a ball jam. When I turn the handle to shoot balls, I hear a clink, clink, clink but it will not load and shoot the balls. I have videos but I was not able to upload to this post. I have complete access to the back of the machine. Thanks.

    Welcome to Pachitalk !

Have you opened up the front lower door on your machine and taken a look at what is going on?

You can always upload it to Youtube. then set it to private or only accessable via link. Then it doesn't show up if people search for something similar.

This would be simpler to explain with a video

Open up the glass front door. Do not swing open the entire machine. There should be a smaller release on the non hinged side for opening just the glass door, maybe painted yellow. Once you manage to open up just the glass front, standing in front of the machine, look for a release in the lower right hand corner of that opening you just created.

When you push it or pull on it, your lower door will open. This is the area where front hopper balls are sent and shot. There is probably some blockage preventing balls from entering through the door or into the shooters breach. If you are still having trouble I will make a video, let me know.

Pachi Members, this is why we need a rudimentary "So you bought your first machine" video for people ! Surely someone can put one together and become a hero?

As there are a couple of different Gladiator machines/frames. Sometimes. Generic answer doesn’t point the user in the right direction. But yes. I suspect fluff or blockage between the front tray and the shooter hammer.

Untitled.jpg In this pic the lower door is swung open and the arrow is pointing to the release button. Granted your machine may vary however there is some type of release probably near that location.

It's my belief that a well made stickied rudimentary post or video would answer 70 to 80% of first time posters problems here.

Yes, but we can certainly still include a special "Madman across the water" chapter if you so desire.

Thanks. Yes, it is a nine-drum Gladaiator. See links for videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Xi...IqvuYR&index=7 https://studio.youtube.com/video/kr02Ff-lRvQ/edit. Being an optimist, I think I can fix the ball jam if I can open the right door. I do not have a key but have access to the rear of the machine. I am able to open the door but it includes the entire mechanism. It appears to have a lower door that I am not able to open. Thank again for your help.

Here is a video of the back and front. https://studio.youtube.com/video/kr02Ff-lRvQ/edit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Xi...IqvuYR&index=7. I do not have the key but, since I have access to the back, I am able to open the door. The door includes the entire mechanism. There appears to be a lower door that I am not able to open. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a 9 drum Gladiator that I play all the time. I remember having some issues getting the door open the first time. Let me look at it and I'll see if I can give you any direction that may help.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves this machine. It's at ground level where she can reach it, and I have had to pull things from the loading / shooting path more than once.
The way it is designed, it is hard to see that location very well from the players viewpoint.

Once I open the glass, down in the right hand corner is this button.

    gladiator2.jpg

Pushing it down opens the door and (blocks the ball opening) so this can be done with balls in the tray without them going everywhere like they would on a vintage machine.

I believe the door problem I had was the very bottom door with the shooting knob was hard to get open.
