Default Dad's machine all cleaned up and WORKS Two questions about balls.

And now I know why you all say to make sure you have enough balls! Took some trial and error to figure out how the door by the lever works, but once I propped it open, I was in business. I had only purchased 150 balls, and now I'll get a bunch more.

Two questions: (1) how many more?; and (2) the ones I bought seem oily; should I pull them out and wash them?

Thanks so much for being here! All of the posts and the terrific Model A video were invaluable. Now I see how hobbies get started!

Nice looking machine. I'd go for another 200-300 balls myself, as far as the oily balls, yes, pull them out and wash them, then dry them thoroughly to avoid rusting. You don't want oily or dirty balls in your machine to gunk up the mechanisms or leave marks on the playfield.

You might also like to clean the ball tracks with some Q-tips and rubbing alcohol for any oil laid down by the balls.

I do have silver and gold balls to offer if you are interested. https://www.pachitalk.com/forums/sho...Pachinko-Balls

Great suggestion Peteybob. And I can vouch for the balls he has for sale, they're beautiful & shiny, great deal.
