    Default Owl Arrangeball

Finally received it today, and it is a mess, at least regarding the exterior.
    A few notes:

    1. As is customary - shipped with glass. Glass didn't survive. Also the payout tray was damaged so with some reportage I actually got the item for free (I only paid $20, so not much a coup)

    2. there appear to be two coin slots. One to pay 10 yen to play the game and the other to insert/retrieve tokens. Still thinking about if I want to keep the pay feature.

    3. The power plug has a transformer but I can't make out what do with it. I know I'll need to place a North American one (any tips?) but not sure if the current one goes or....? Need some help here.

    4. The state of the nails and other hardware is pretty bad. I'll prob CNC a whole new case if I can get the electronics clean and working.

So my first task is to get a proper power situation and see if it lights up. I'll ad to this thread as things move forward over the upcoming year or so...

so with the existing transformer I should be good to just plug in? or... no? do i need to get another transformer to tamp down 110v to 100v and then feed that into this one?

(i'm dying to check the power, trying to be patient)

also there's a switch at the junction box next to the fuses, shown in the photo.

May be ok, but if it were mine I'd get a new one. 3 or 4 Amp

Switch is most likely main on/off

What does Pachitalk think of me getting this item? Then I could plug the arrangeball into it.

You could disconnect the output side and plug it in to measure the output at 120 ac in. Can't say for sure but thinking it would be ac output.

    well it's not junk!
some rewiring and resoldering and got some action.

next step is to order some pachislo tokens and get that straightened out.

Thats good to here. Its always a worry when you order a junk item. As you never know what you will find. I could be wrong. But aren’t the pay in/pay out tokens a different size to standard 25mm pachislo tokens. I’m sure one if the experts will comment.
although the second added coin mech is probably set for a ¥100 or ¥500 coin.

Yes, tokens are closer to 28mm. Very close in size to our Loonie

It checks out! Found a couple of tokens stuck in the cabinet and they're just barely smaller than $1. Going with Loonies for tokens, I guess.
Decided to bypass the .10 coin op so will loop the yellow wires.

I guess it had a second life in an arcade. As long as the payout system still works. All should be good.

turns out it was missing a few parts, so just dropped it off at Dan's for him to get into shape while we figure out what exactly is needed and then get it all 3D modeled and printed.

    Here is the cleaned machine.
I still need to 3D model a few replacement parts (Dan has generously loaned me parts from a working machine of his that match) for full restore.
