nishijin monroe won't fire

Hello all. New here. Just purchased a nishijin monroe. Seller said it was working a few years ago and suddenly stopped fireing. Have an 8 on display. And won't fire. If I manually drop balls in looks like everything else works. It drops winnings. Just won't fire and displays on 8 and won't tally just remain an 8.

When you touch the fire knob you can hear clicking, like a relay but hammer is not moving.
Any information is much appreciated

I would expect the motor/gearbox has failed. or where the motor cam mounts on the shaft has failed. I would remove the motor from the machine but leave it still connected. then try it with no resistance on it and see if it turns.

Ok removed motor. Manually spin cam, feels ok not frozen. Some resistance while manually spinning. But I think that's normal. What's the voltage to motor. And which wires. 4 wires. I'll try manually adding power to motor to see if it spins. That should tell me if it's the motor or controller.

Might be an error. The display isn't working the way I think it should be. Just says 8. Think it should start at 0, and count up correct?

Hum, do you have balls in the top hopper in the back of the machine ?

Is the metal fork right of the top feed tray up ? It has to be up to let the balls flow to the ball release mechanism .


Have you checked for voltage at the connector that goes to the ball launcher ?

Can you move the strike hammer by hand when the motor is out?
