Default How rare are half gauge machines

Well now the bug has bitten deep.

I had thought I could make one from scratch (from basic vintage pachi knowledge) but after seeing some videos there are some mechanisms that I need to see in person. Which means owning one.

Is this a once-in-a-lifetime sort of lucky find situation or....?

I did the Yahoo Japan thing with "half gauge" and "半ゲージ" but maybe I'm missing something, too.

Very rare… you’ll have to be quite patient or lucky to get one. Or let your money do the talking; maybe offer $500+ (or more) and it might make someone think about selling theirs? I know a few members with them.

if you're a completist, go for a half gauge. They're unique and cool looking, but play-wise, they don't offer anything different or superior.

one of the best looking single shots (and pachinko machines, for that matter) ever made plus it's a half gauge.

there's another very similar hokoku with slightly different and more colorful graphics that at least one member has and it has the ball crank mech as well. it was on yja forever for over 1k and it finally sold.
i'd prolly trade most of my arrangeballs for that machine.
