    Default Slot machine repair questions

Hi there, new to this forum and the world of slot machines. I have a Yamasa brand slot machine, Nights model (2001 I believe is date of manufacture). A friend was given this a while back, and it sat in the basement or the barn for a while, and he gave it to me one day thinking I might be able to get some use out of it. I was able to get it open without the front key, and I took a few pictures of the inside. It seems some wires have been cut/chewed through, and there's plenty of insulation that ive removed, but some still remains. When I tried plugging it in when I first got it, nothing turned on, so I'm unsure if even the cord works. Wondering if members here who are knowledgeable in these items could take a look and let me know what they think. I can take more photos as needed, but the corrosion, disconnected wires, and lack of response when plugged in leaves me wondering where to begin.
Thanks in advance for any advice, I'm really not knowledgeable in repairing electronics like this, so I'm really kinda lost here.

Mouse and roach excrement can damage the circuit boards too. I had to clean and replace board components on my pachislo to address similar issues. Good Luck with that one!

If you can't repair the cables. You might have to source a new cable In theory. on some ribblon cables. you can open up teh connector and install a new length of ribbon and refit the ends. or search online for ribbon cables. if you know the length and how many pins there are. you should be able to find a new one.

I hope your wearing gloves in there
