This is what the machine shows. It won’t shoot any balls or pay out.

Hello and welcome to the group

I don't have this same one but rather another game in the same machine frame. To launch balls you need to be touching the metal ring attached to the shooter knob while turning the knob. If this doesn't work then check for any disconnected wires on the oppisite side.

I don't know if yours is what they call a cash machine which works without a dongle as mine is. A picture of the name on the front will help others tell this. The name is often around the upper right of the playfield starting with a "CR" and some Japanese. This is next to the payout of 5&12&15 on my machine. You may or may not need a dongle that attaches to the 25 pin old printer looking port on the back lower right.

As for the balls check the ball track in back just below the hopper up top. The heart shaped pendulum should point downward. You may have some debris holding up the ball movement. It doesn't take much at times to stop the balls. Another common area is in the payout system next in line where debris can build up. A good cleaning with q-tips and rubbing alcohol works well on these parts if you are up to taking things apart.

My machine launches balls just fine but after a while the machine locks up and won’t shoot any more balls. Turning the machine off and on again seems to fix it. I am not sure why it is locking up at all. Do I need the dongle?

Sorry about that. By your original comment I thought you couldn't shoot balls at all. If it shoots balls sometimes then you don't need a dongle, the problem is elsewhere.

When it locks up, is there a code number shown on the lowest center led display on the back?

Now the machine is stuck in fever mode with a number 8 on the top display. On the back there are no error codes and the reset button doesn’t do anything. What should I do?

Play out the fever round as that's what it is all about. The lower trap door will open and close around 15 times as you put 8 or so balls in it. The machine may also time out if left alone for a while as well and returning to regular play.

Once I hit the fever mode the machine wouldn’t shoot any balls. It completely locked up. Even if I put a ball in one of the winning holes the ball wouldn’t trigger a payout.

Other than not enough balls in the payout hopper (as some machines need to continue play) I am stumped. Perhaps another member who has or had the Wanted game will be along soon to offer some tips.

How big a transformer does it have? Sometimes if it's low VA, it's overwhelmed when all the lights come on.

I am not sure if the transformer is a 100 volt or a 120 volt but I have it plugged into a step down transformer that steps it down to 100 volts because I wasn’t sure if it is safe to plug into a 120 volt outlet. Could this be the problem?

Can you post a picture of any markings on the transformer?

Transformers have 3 important values. Input voltage, output voltage and power rating. as yours isn't marked. I suggest measuring the output voltage between the transformer and the machine and make sure your getting 24vac +/- 10%

especially before the machine fails and during it.

obviously be very careful around mains voltage.

I got the machine fixed! I plugged it into my US outlet and now when I hit the fever mode it doesn’t lock up. I guess the issue was that I had the machine plugged into a step down transformer (100v) because I didn’t know it needed 110 volts to operate. I had it plugged in for over an hour and the machine ran fine with no problems. Thanks everyone!
