Default Noob, help with identification please

I spent every trip to my family members house where this is as a young kid, trying to get it to work. Haven't looked at it in years. Revisiting now. From quick research it seems pretty similar to a standard single shot Model A from the 60s but the red bonus square bit on the right hand side I can't seem to find any examples of. Could anyone please help me identify this machine and tell me if it's worth attempting a restoration on? Restoration would be for me personally to use in home, just hard to tell if these mechanics will be super troublesome to restore or not (I have a small machine shop and pretty good cad/design/manufacturing capabilities). If there's any obvious issues from these pics that would make it not worth the time, I'd love to understand. I think these things are pretty cool and love the historic aspect of it. Thanks for any guidance.

    https://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?33926-Model-A-Video

the red area is a ball overflow.. get the balsl out and get the dust bunnies cleaned out.. watch both vids and see what fits your machine.. the model "A" vid should be best.

As I understand...it is a post 1864 machine. The lower ball tray that losing balls fall into, is made of plastic. Only pre 1964 machines have a tin lower tray.

Aren't they all post 1864? Were they playing pachinko during the Civil War?

I've never worked on a single shot machine but the back is very similar to a recycler. Make sure that the top hopper is full of balls. You will need at least 200 balls in order for the machine to work correctly. Most of the balls should be in the hopper. If you have 500 (which is a good amount for this hopper) balls, 450 of them should be in the top hopper.

    Aside from that:
You need to clear the jam at the launcher. Open the front glass and remove them.
The red rocker that handles winning balls on the back needs to be put in the correct position. This is a common problem with machines that don't work. From the rear of the machine, gently push down on the left side of the rocker. If it doesn't move you have another problem.
The aluminum/tin track cover in the center of the back is bent. this should be adjusted so it is closer to the track. It prevents the balls from stacking up before they go into the jackpot rocker. The machine will work if you don't do this but at some point he balls will stack up and spill out of the machine.
Finally, this machine looks like it could use a good cleaning. I think you can get it to work without having to completely disassemble the machine. Just get some Q-Tips and some cleaner (I use Alcohol because it evaporates off the parts and doesn't leave a residue) and start cleaning every surface you can reach that a ball will touch. Clean the recycling bin on the back too.

To sum up do these things in this order:
    1. Remove the balls from the font
    2. Clean the accessible parts of the ball paths on the back of the machine.
    3. Add at least 200 balls to the top hopper (one hand full at a time) and make sure balls stay in the hopper
    4. Reposition the red rocker on the back
    5. Test the machine.

It's a good looking machine and single shots are kind of rare. I think it is definitely worth restoring. You should be able to make it mechanically functional again with little effort.
