Default Help Newgin CRA Oedo Gakuen Machine Not Working

    Greetings all.

I got my first modern pachinko machine and it's a 2018 model. The seller from Japan showed images that the screen and everything else is working.

When I purchased it, after plugging in, the LCD screen is not working. There is no error code at the back.

Can anyone advise on the fault?

    Hi and Welcome to Pachitalk,

    Let's back up.

You are aware that it's 24volts AC correct?

Also, seeing that you just got it,
I would talk to the person you purchased it from first.

Oh geez, not another fried machine thread! Tell me you used a transformer…

If not, yikes a hard lesson to learn and you won’t make that mistake twice I bet! It’s quite likely damaged beyond repair if 110v was applied.

As others have said. The main power feed to the machine is a 24v supply. I can see the label on the lead. If you did plug it into a transformer and plugged it straight into your mains outlet. If your lucky it's just blown the PSU. If your really lucky. You haven't turned on the on/off switch and it was delivered in the off position. If your darn unlucky. The surge has gotten past the PSU and damaged some of the game components.

Oh dear. It is what I have guessed.

After plugging in to 110V, I realised that it's not the correct voltage. After I have checked, the fuse was blown and there are no blown out circuit parts. Does it mean that my circuit is still fried?

You’ll have to buy the correct 24v transformer; replace the fuse; and cross your fingers!

    Good luck!

Hello there. I did and there are some power to the circuit board. But lights and sound are not on. The screen is also not working. Despite the rear did not display any error code.

Are you sure it’s a 24v transformer? Because the picture of the transformer you posted on FB was not a 24v transformer… it was a 220v to 110v transformer. Waaaay too much juice for a machine than runs on 24v.

What transformer are you using again? Pics please!

Did the seller not tell you it needs a transformer with output of 24v or you risk ruining the pachinko?! Sounds like a unscrupulous seller if didn’t tell you transformer is needed.

Normally there is a type of diode that blows on the power supply. If its cut out of circuit. It might work although you do then risk blowing further components in power spike.
