Default Cut sound wires on nascar machine

Prior to my purchasing this machine someone cut the sound wires. I guess my question is. How do they go back together

I expect because the sounds coming from the speakers had nothing to do with nascar.

    Does it actually have speakers.

A full picture of the outer side and inside would be helpful as then people might recognize the cabinet from another theme.

well, just when you thought you'd seen it all. At least Mach GoGo (Speed Racer) is a racing theme.

It looks like they cut the wires and removed the ends with the plugs.. they probably interface with the sockets in your fist picture right above the cut wires. I would see if someone on here can get a picture of the hook ups, you might be able to at least get audio back.

Looks like it. In this listing it goes to a home made volume control

    https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/o458434267

But this one shows the wires going straight to the 2 sockets.

Here is a picture of mine. The sound level is going to be way to loud for home use without some kind of aftermarket volume control. I control the volume with these potentiometers. https://www.parts-express.com/500-Oh...ometer-023-500

I have no idea where you get the connectors.

Look similar to some of the old data counter connectors.

Does anything change when you adjust that toggle switch above the connections?

Start with the basics, are there pots installed inline with these wires?
If not get a meter out and check for continuity from the end that plugs into the machine to the end soldered to the speaker. Do this for both + and -.
Next try and test the speaker.. you can use a 9v battery to make the speaker buzz do this is very short bursts to prevent damage.

If speakers buzz then most likely good. If nothing.. then most likely bad.

You might be able to find a cheap pair of speakers and swap out as a temp fix.
