The machine is finished and everything is working great.

The coin mechanism is adjustable to except different size coins and being that I only had 5 of the original size tokens, I adjusted it to except Pachislo tokens.

I decided to do a few mods to the machine.

I added a topper to it. Added some LED lighting to the payout tray, the viewing window for the balls and where the balls enter the numbered pockets.

Added an image of Chim Chim to the number 10 pay pocket and made a custom English instruction insert.

Here are some pics and a short video of the topper. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/u1N7TqHoXLM

I don't believe I've spent as much time just staring at any other machine.
The Mach 5 and other cars of Speed Racer have long held my attention.

I guess I wasn't done. I made another mod today.

Being it is a racing theme machine, I thought a spark plug would work well for the finger rest.

Yes, I did add RacerX. It kind of balanced out the top of the playfield. I also added his image, to the lower right of the playfield.

I also abandoned the area that showed your score. (between the Mach 5 car and Racer X car.) I kept have issues with it not working. It's really not hard to keep track of what you score, so it's really not missed.

So, I decided to cover it with a LED light bar. I connected it to the Select feature of the machine. So, when you get a ball in the Number 10 pocket, (Chim Chim), it flashes.

Here is video of it working. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fa4XOQbhvrs

Wayne-Ooo, what did you use to get your circuit boards looking so nice and clean, they look amazing? I've blown mine off with compressed air and used a clean paintbrush to gently dust it, but it's need much more.

Also, my numbers above the ball slots look exactly like yours, white paperish stuff with black print, very worn out looking. I've looked on Amazon and the internet for circular, stick on numbers, what did you use for the numbers and the background? I really like the white numbers with the orange background, I'd like to find something similar in a shade of green to compliment the green plastic door.
    Thanks!

I have 3 different paintbrushes I use to clean with. They are very soft natural bristle brushes. One I use for initial cleaning/dusting. Another I use has been treated with Windex window cleaner and the third one has been treated with Orange Glow furniture polish, ( this is the one that will give your circuit boards a nice shine.)

Just spray the brush with Windex and/or Furniture polish and wipe as much access onto a micro fiber cloth. You don't want the brush dripping, you just want it completely coated. I store these two brushes in separate zip lock bags and once it has been initially coated, you only need to mist the brush with product to use again. You may not even need to mist it, you'll be able to tell once you start using it. (The zip lock bag helps to keep the brush from drying out).

I always brush down a machine, I have completed, with the Orange Glow furniture polish brush. Really makes the playfield and all the playfield pieces, nails, etc. really shine. I brush down the rear plastic pieces also.

I made my numbers and background using the Paint program on my computer. I printed the background separate and all the numbers separate. To get the numbers cut out, in a perfect circle I used a hollow punch. Doing everything separate, I could lay it out on the plastic piece and get the numbers lined up with the openings perfectly. I glued the numbers on the background with a glue stick and once all the numbers were glued on I laminated it all together and attached it to the plastic piece with Super 77 spray adhesive.
