Cool Need Help Power Supply pachinko Terminator 2 2008 SAMMY

    hi everybody
i am the owner of a Terminator 2FX from 2008, build by SAMMY
I found it on auction but I don't have information about the failure
currently there is a transformer that transforms the 220V into 25V, and sends it to the power supply board.
there are two fuses after the power button and it is the first that blows as soon as it starts up.
The fuses installed are 2A at 250V
I am looking for information because I do not know what the previous owner did and I would like to know the voltage of the original power supply.
thank you all for your future help.

Hi Welcome to Pachitalk, the machine runs on 24VAC at aprox 5 amps so those 250 volt 2 amp fuses should handle that easily
we need to find out why they are blowing.

How about some full pics of the back of the machine?

Also. Unplug everything from the main PSU. Except the incoming 24v and see if it still blows. It shows all the signs of a power supply that has been overloaded.

I already unplug everything, and it s the same problem

I’d be really surprised if they still support an old model like that on the secondhand market. It’s not uncommon for some unscrupulous seller to “fry” a machine (plug into 110v not using a step down transformer to 24v, or just have components fail due to age) then turn around and sell it to some poor pachinko newbie via eBay auction telling them it’s “an easy fix…”

Somebody just fried an AKB48 machine in the FB North American Pachinko club so be on the lookout to avoid that one! ⚡️⚡️

Sammy logically only cares about the machines they have operating on Japanese parlor floors and the next ones in the pipeline.

Well 25v is higher than 24. It is in the 10% range though.
As the fuse blows without output plugged into the PSU it does suggest a fault. Like an overload. Plenty of threads about that. I think off hand you need to check the zenor diode from memory.

I would have to find an electronics technician near me to make an accurate diagnosis.

    Unknown-1.jpegHi guys
so I have three of this one , I test it and for two of them I have OL on the two way on my multimeter and 0,139v in one way on the last one
I am not an electronics engineer, but I saw that it was not normal for these diodes to put OL in both directions
for the last one in one direction I have a data of constant 0.139v and by changing the polarity, the voltage rises.

Yes diodes are like one way electrical valves when they are operating correctly. If you are getting two different readings checking them both ways on the diode setting then they are probably working. If they are faulty then I would simply replace them with something of similar size, what do you have to lose?

I just bought this exact same machine with the same problem I even put in an new fuse holder with a fuse I was told to remove z1 off the board and I still cannot get power to the machine received_2124149544454357.jpegreceived_1409544096198447.jpeg20220904_120706.jpg20220904_120706.jpg
