Default pachinko parlor in United States

There is at least one parlor in the UNITED STATES that I know of called Pachinko Parlor USA. Located in Wilmington North Carolina. Has anyone been there? How did you like it?
I looked for references to it in the forums but couldn't find anything.

Try searching Pachinko World. I believe that is the actual name of the venue. I know that the owner is a member here and that at least one other member has been there.

I seen a video of pachinko parlor usa showing off some of there machines. I searched for that name and found a web site. Now when I went back I realized it does say pachinko world now. They have a number of videos and pictures on the site but did not find the one that led me there. I'm surprised they don't have more videos of the machines they have as well of the being played. There were no video's at all of pachislo, only pictures.

It’s been called Pachinko World for many years. No pachislos, Pachinkos only! it was never called “pachinko parlor USA”. I’ve been going there for years.

There even used to be a Pachinko World 2 of Myrtle Beach; which I then purchased the best machines they had for sale when they sadly went out of business a few years ago.

    WANTED: 10¥ games, pre-1950s machines, スマートボール (Smart Ball), payazzo/kronespill, Pickwick-style (~1905)
if you have any of these in North America, let's talk.

Same as Japan; you “rent balls” and play for prizes and gift cards; no shady place around the corner down the alley to exchange special prizes for cash (that I’m aware of)

However children are allowed to play too!

right, so it's tacitly a different model. In Japan you're still playing FOR money, just through an exchange.
So it's fair to say this is akin to a redemption arcade, in that you play for prizes only.

Well they had Visa gift cards… might as well be money! Chucky Cheese and Dave & Busters do not have visa gift cards for prizes! There’s always a workaround… They have those fish tables that proliferate in seedier sections of town all over Charlotte too! There’s always gambling opportunities for money just skirting the law.

Actually, exchanging the goods is optional; you can win food, beer, household goods OR a “special prize”. At pachinko world it’s the exact same thing; except if you want the special prize (currency equivalent) you simply ask for your winnings via Visa gift card instead of toy/drink/snack. It’s not that different at all besides there is no exchange office run by the Yakuza or North Koreans.

    What's the currency exchange like?
how many balls per $USD, and how many balls do you need to exchange for a gift card?

Sorry,It’s been a few years since I’ve visited; I don’t recall what the rate was for ball rental.(Or how many were needed to cash in for a visa gift card). There is was pachitalk member discount however!

That'd be 2500 balls for $50, sounds like a good time
