Thought it would be a good idea to update yall, i have been having ideas. i am going to go about getting two single side 3 voltage selectors and add a switch for the transformer output. that should be safe enough, Ill let you know if i can find a suitable transformer.

Ok, so heres the pdf datasheet for the transformer i have picked. This is findable at digikey for 115 CAD per unit.

Ok, this next post is a bit of a long one containing a couple links.
Voltage selector switch (two pole was the most sane option i could find)
    https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/d...VS0002/3962704 ~ 15 CAD
Most sane bypass switch i can find for the project (cause for the bypass i need to wire across to the output anyways, why not make the switch 4 pole dual throw?)
    https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/d...W01-DA/1052889 ~ 20 CAD
    Finally, The transformer.
    https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/d...0-5000/2090094 ~ 155 CAD
Approximate total (Free shipping) ~ 190 CAD minus wire and some of the extra crimps i need - For sure im soldering to my bypass switch, the ground will be a constant wire.
Edits: Corrected math and found out torodial transformer diameter (total)
14.10 cm is this. its from the data sheet, and i can probably find space for this.

Thought i should add that this transformer only works for 100VAC in machines, or 50 VAC in.

Its a good idea. as some machines are 24vac. Some people don't check before plugging in Is Canada 240v?

Canada is 120/240V, i want to add protections for if i ever take the machine abroad into a 240V country.

Ok, just going to quickly add some info, cause i have a couple updates.
I do have plans to transfer the machine to the netherlands, But i need a little more advice.
How should i proctect myself from accidentally triggering the switch to a 100v bypass? Should i implement some form of pcb to help with this? Many questions wich im unsure how to fix myself. I may need to make a pcb to solve this headache. any reccomendations welcome.

Quick update here on this one. Forgot to make sure my input switch was rated for 240. Welp i need to find some way to safegaurd myself so time to hunt for a new switch for this i guess….. (ill also find a switch to add between here and input so i dont accidentally fry the machine. Would be a sad day if i accidentally fried it)

Its time for another update! This has gone to a place i never thought. i need contactors or similar since such high voltage 240vac rated switches need higher costs, And unless i will to take saftey risks, its not going to be safe at 240VAC.

If you want to protect the machine from over or under voltage simply use this. 230V AC Current Protector 63A, Intelligent Single Phase Adjustable Over-Voltage Under-Voltage Current Protective Device https://a.co/d/i21XVJn

its got a way to choose between 120 and 240, so i think im fine. (aka it does 120 or 240 to 2x50vac, wich combine for 100VAC.

I do need to pick up some piggyback tab terminals though, so that i can make this be a workable system for now since i dont want my input perma wired to my transformer….

Digikey box arrived today! transformer wont go in soon but i have most of what i need to get this thing setup. The transformer is as advertised. 5A is more than enough amps.

It works, and it starts noisy but it quiets down really quick. its a good transformer. if the machine had ground right now it would be dead silent.
(this is just a temporary power in im waiting for next paycheck to finish things)
